POLO, BADMINTON AND CROQUET, OH MY
« on: May 20, 2013, 11:55:33 PM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of civilized games that have been replaced by things like World of Warcraft and The Sims, and now it is time for you to post until the civilized game-playing cows come home - they're currently playing badMOOnton but have lost their shuttlecock.

Good morning, all.

Up a wee bit too early this morning.  But a free day again in which to relax and putter about the house, so no harm done.

Definition of "puttering about the house":   I need to make major inroads in the sorting and putting away some stuff, and the getting rid of other stuff.  Too many "temporary" stacks, piles, clutter.  And it's time to move forward on some projects in the basement and garage.

Okay, now I'm tired thinking about all of that.

Made a trip into the center of town for a browse around. Now having a lunch of fish and chips in a department store restaurant in Oxford Street.

Did anybody else watch the finale of Dancing With The Stars?

Wow. Kellie and Derek's freestyle was one of the best I've ever seen.

I also enjoy the score of HALF A SIXPENCE.  The movie is okay; nothing great.

On the other hand, I don't care much for Tommy Steele.  Didn't anybody ever tell him that, in movies, you don't have to play to the upper balcony?

He was atrocious in FINIAN'S RAINBOW, and from what I've read, he's extremely "difficult" to deal with.

TOD:

No candy in boxes.  However, for Halloween, I always have my wife get the little Hershey miniatures, then I hope that we don't get many trick-or treaters, so that I can enjoy the leftovers.

TOD - The SW Ohio favorite is Esther Price.

For me, it's any company that makes dark chocolate raisin clusters.  DR Elmore can tell you they're not easy to find.  Not that they're on my diet any more, anyway...

Good morning, all! I slept in, and then got caught up in revisions for liner notes to DEAREST ENEMY. My day is quiet, with absolutely nothing planned or needing to be accomplished. I'm regarding this period as a vacation, but I hope it's of short duration.

DR TCB, I'd call another therapist. No one should tell you you'll never walk again.

I never met a decent box of chocolates I didn't like.  See's, Whitman, you name it.

But ..... dark chocolate raisin clusters???   I must have those!
