Here is a photograph of me at my Bar Mitzvah, between my Martian parents.  For those who've read the Kritzer books (especially Kritzerland, which opens and closes with this very event), you know exactly what I am feeling in this photograph - for those who haven't read the books, the clenched fist and the expression might give you a clew.

Snazzy hair, BK!

I have a library question.  I think I found out how to request an eBook from my library, only my request says not found.  I know the book is on eBook and my library "Overdrive" has the first 7 books in the series.

Can anyone tell me if their library offers DOG TAGS by David Rosenfelt as an ePub book.

Thanks

Timberland, the library where I work, doesn't have that title...and I wasn't able to find that we owned any of that author's books.  The title is available as an epub book through OverDrive, but we don't have it.

Thank you.

If it is available through OverDrive then I should be able to request it using the directions I was sent.  I wish I had access to the OverDrive library ;)  It is possible, said hesitantly, that Oregon & Washington have different options with OverDrive.

And speaking of "Cinder Edna," (I was at some point, I'm sure), here's a link for a video:  If Disney Cartoons Were Historically Accurate!  This is funny...but NOT for the faint of heart!

Don't hesitate...any library (or consortium) that uses OverDrive has its own contract and options and rules for its patrons.

We also can request title for purchase.

I will write support back and verify they really can't get this book.  I tried requesting a few and didn't succeed.

Thank you for your help.

BK, I hear Mystery & Imagination is in crisis.  Is this true?  What  is the nature of said crisis?

It's every few months with Mystery and Imagination - they're just struggling, although some months they seem to do well.  I've told them under no circumstances can they EVER close.  They are the last of the dying breed.  In fact, Malcolm and I are going to put together some kind of event, either at the store or maybe the Glendale Library, about the great mom-and-pop bookstores of LA.

Richard and I celebrated National Burger Day with homemade ones and now we're settled in for NCIS reruns and the grand finale to BODY OF PROOF.

Tonight's feature, The Duchess of Idaho, began with the chorus singing the names of the cast. Odd.
