This vodka isn't very good.
I'm sorry. I wouldn't be able to tell. Don't drink it. How can you tell a bad vodka?

I wish George wouldn't send ME something, dammit.

Don't fret Chas, just this afternoon I didn't send you something

What about me, Vixmom?  Didn't you not send me something today?

Sweetheart, you are my favorite, you know I don't send you something EVERY day!!
(But don't tell the others, we don't want them to get jealous)

I dreamed I was in the  backyard of our church  and I noticed that there was a kid  who was apparently drowning in our built in pool  (our church does not actually have a pool  of any sort) and a bunch of people were standing around just watching

When I walked up they said "Oh good - we were were waiting for a Council member to come so we could find out whose job it is to get the kid out of the pool"

To which I reply  (like an idiot) "Ia m not sure I have the authority to unilaterally make that decision , I will have to bring it to bring it up at the next Personnel meeting"

But then I re-considered and announced that I would jump in and get the kid - but then we all got into a conversation about whether the Child Protection Policy meant that  someone else who have to  jump in with me so that I would not be alone in the pool with the kid and whether grabbing the drowning kid and pulling him out of the pool would involve inappropriate touching

I don't think I need  Jack's Dreamomatic for this one -  I am clearly frustrated that people are not taking incentive  and  action on their own and that  so may crucial things are not getting done because of being bogged down in rules and regulations

Vix, I would say that the dream also shows that you are being given more and more authority at the church. and that you are not always comfortable being put into that position.

DR TCB - I work weekday mornings for 4 hours at my other part-time job, as a personal assistant to a very dear 92-year old couple who live locally (they just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary), and then head over to the church, where I usually work until about 6:00pm. So it's a full day, but I like staying busy.

That was how my Papa cooked  - I am so sorry I didn't  just  go over and watch him cook more often

Yeah, and it's how I cook at lot, too. But I can't do that in a cookbook.

I think you should throw a couple of recipes in like that  just for fun

Recipe:

Buy a block of that cheese that Daddy  liked, you know the pale yellow one that's kind buttery tasting

Boil some noodles, the kind that grandma used to use for the goulash

Just make enough to fill the blue casserole  about half way

cut up the cheese and melt it in some milk until it looks right then add it to the noodles

oh wait first mince up and onion, the kinda flat kind that are always in the special bin in the second section of the Waldbaums  produce dept

and slice up some of those white mushrooms and saute them with some sliced sweet red pepper - make enough so it mixes nice in the noodles not too much and not too little

then add the minced  chicken...

oh you need left over roast chicken for this

then sprinkle the top with seasoned bread crumbs  and cook in in the oven  till it gets brown

just make the oven medium not too hot or it will burn  but not too low or it takes too long to cook

Serves 4 - 8 depending on how hungry everyone is
