This is a shot of me the last time I attempted a triple lutz:

WHOA -- STOP THE PRESSES.  I JUST GOT THE TIME-OUT THING AGAIN.
I have a Print-Screen image but have no idea how to save it and post it here, so here's a simulation of it.  It appears right above the editing area when you first click on POST after typing a new reply.  Clicking again posts the message fine.

Me, too! On my post about Kroger karma.

After last night's brouhaha over GAME OF THRONES, I wish I watched it.

Bugs? Spiders, roaches, bed bugs, ticks, mosquitos . . .

All that and more.

Thanks, DR Elmore, for the brief summary of yet another of my common dream themes...

The face icons need to be larger.  I can barely see them.

Chas, I don't think I can be much help here. I'm not very cell phone savvy. I have a very low-end pay as you go cell phone which is only used when we are traveling or if I'm out of the house without my husband.

I do know that there are programs available that can recover deleted files if nothing has been "written over" the space on the card.

Here are some recommendations for programs.

File Recovery Software

I can't vouch for any of them because I've never used them. I think, Chas, in your case, if you end up doing this, you would download the program to your PC, install it, then put the micro SD card into the card reader slot on your PC and have the software read the contents of the card and attempt to recover any data. As you may know, deleting a file from an SD card or from a PC doesn't fully delete the file. It remains there until the space is overwritten by new information. That can happen almost immediately if you continue using your PC after the file deletion or it may take a while. If you take the micro SD card out of your camera you won't overwrite any remaining deleted information and the chances for file recovery are better.

I had a fantastic time in Fort Wayne.

I saw two performances of my play (LOMBARD), presented a "workshop" on writing for film, and did some Q&A sessions.

The people there treated me very well.

(I'm not sure how to post photos on this page, but I have some up on FB on both my personal and The Hollywood Legends pages.)

DR Ben, that's pretty much what I was envisioning -- moving the card to the PC and using typical file recovery methods.  In the meantime, I've removed the card from the phone so it can't be overwritten.  Thank you!

I get the timed out issue as well but I didn't post about it because even though it says you are timed out if you click try again, or post, or whatever it says, the post will go through. Timed out seems to happen when you take your time with a post, as Larry said, going away from the computer to look something up (there is no activity and the software thinks things have stopped) and then returning and finishing the post. SMF gets confused when you start again because you were "inactive" and now you're "active" Since the post isn't lost and the option to post again is always there and it's always gone through for me when I click I don't say anything when I get timed out.

Tuesday morning greetings!  I will be away all day today, which is a good thing...

Blood test, errands, lunch with the grantwriters, coffee with Sue, and more errands.  It's a beautiful day in SW Ohio and I'm looking forward to being out and about.

In my case, I'd remained "active" working on the post.  At no time had I stopped typing or formatting the post for more than a few seconds.

Oh, and the only reason I've thrown my two cents in on this is that it never happened to me before, in all this past year.

It's a beautiful day in Manhattan as well. Cool and sunny. We had rain off and on yesterday but it's cleared up at least for today. Tomorrow through Friday looks stormy, though.

Interesting that you remained active. Whenever I've gotten the message it's because I've stopped typing in the post window. I think it may be something we have to live with.

But first, I don't sign in or out and I'm logged in "forever" I always go back to the first screen of the discussion board when I leave and then refresh the screen. That takes me off the board list (after a few minutes) but doesn't log me out.

Since on the new board i have not been timed out of my account. And I have not been timed out of any messages. Although I mostly  most in the quick reply. Or respond to someone else's message.

For those wondering why the picture icons are so small, why is DR Ben's picture much bigger?

What DR Ben wrote about timed-out messages makes sense. I never stop typing. I always type everything and press post right away.
