Greetings from Toyland! I am soaking wet because the humidity must be close to 99; no rain yet, but it's quite horrible.

So, i have my breakfast, more of the Moross score, my lunch, and a wait for the paper delivery. I also haver my current mystery Death at the Beggar's Opera and an essay I downloaded on the disastrous production of DUDE, a fool's carnival.

I think I shall read this next; thanks, DR elmore3003! Just as soon as I finish Case Closed (thanks, DR Jane!).

I wonder if Mr. Moross was morose?

Here is a photo of The Manninhams that I posed to crop as a wedding photo for the mantel.....  Our set isn't dressed yet....and the chair rail is missing.  Linda G says it looks like a cross between an ice cream shop and a bordello.

A particularly fortuitous combination!

DR BK,

My suggestions for a speedy recovery.

Yes, lots of chicken soup, try to rest your voice and not talk too much.  Gargle 3 to 4 times a day.

My prayers for you are on their way!!

TOD:

I agree with BK, that Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke's performances in The Miracle Worker are one of the greatest performances ever put on film!!

Went to an early afternoon screening of MAN OF STEEL in 3D. I was the only one there and during the trailers the screen went blank and the house lights came on. A member of staff walked up to me and apologised, saying there was an electical problem and the film would begin for me as soon as possible. I felt as if I was getting a private screening in a preview theatre! There was a ten minute delay and then the film started. Afterwards I was given a free ticket for the inconvenience, to be used any other time.

I really enjoyed the film. Well cast with some amazing fight scenes. On the minus side, I thought the 3D was far too limited and there was too much distracting shaky camera work.

Tuesday morning greetings!  We got all packed and went out for a walk along State Street, that great street.  We picked up sandwiches from Pret a Manger and banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery to have for lunch on the train.  We'll be back to Normal, so to speak, in time for dinner with my relatives.
