BK, have you done a show with Malty and Shire songs in it? I realize that much of the best of their stuff was in two revues, but it's great stuff.

I'll put this in tomorrow's notes, but here's Jenna singing Where Is Love from last night's show.

I already watched it on another web site (Facebook).  She is awesome.

We had a whole row of people who left one of our performances of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, because a young woman was breastfeeding her child in the second row during the show.....

I would gladly let everyone into the theater in shorts, if they would leave the infants and newborns at home.

I made great strides with the busy work today and will be all done with it tomorrow.  Then there's just two minor little busy work things after that.  I actually would have been finished today but I was given misinformation and had to go back and redo twelve documents to reflect the incorrect information - what a pain.

Today was the first day of camp (for me anyway, my 11-14 year olds started last week without me) - so I decided to try and get to know them.  Since they were already cast (we are doing Beauty and the Beast Jr) I asked them their name, what part(s) they are playing and what exciting thing they did over the weekend.

I think this is the best I've ever heard--

Question to my 11-14 years olds today: What did you do that was exciting over the weekend:

Kid: I watched "Mame" (kid smiles like he's very proud)
Me: The movie?
Kid: Yes
Me: I'm sorry
(kid continues to smile)

MAME?  Is that the one with Debra Messing?

Got an e-mail from the co-producer of our shows - forwarding some comments from a friend of hers who's seen four of our shows - definitely male and while they think I'm dynamic and a fountain of information, they think my occasional Jew jokes are "stale" and "old", they found last night's running gag about the Armenian musicals of the 90s okay at the first mention but not after (I think they thought it might be offensive to Armenians), they're tired of my opening line that I have now done for all thirty-five shows about being elderly and having to read from the paper (never mind that it is always followed by something funny that's always different), and they didn't like my comment about the bad hair day and my lack thereof.

I responded, of course, that the day I start tailoring my patter to make a specific member of the audience happy is the day I stop doing these shows.  Why she would even send me this I have no idea.  The only thing that would make me rethink some humor is the lack of a laugh.  It was funny, I felt negativity in that room last night - strongly - and my guess is that we could center that directly at the writer of this e-mail and his guest.  I kind of hope they stop coming.

I believe these are KRITZERLAND shows, so why doesn't this "friend" shove it.

What a day!  Topped off with a farewell dinner for one of my cantor's at church who is off to study law.  We'll miss her, but she'll just be down in LA, so I'll be able to see her still.  Great singer and even better friend.

I am half way thru NBC's coverage of AMERICAN NINJA, and I have not seen Patrick, at least by name.  I think they have edited last night's coverage quite a bit to add some more commercials.  I should have figured out where the show was being broadcast last night.  Sorry, Kevin.  Sorry Kate.

I totally missed recording it, also.

In London's West End theatres, they sell ice cream at the front of the aisles at the "interval."  Ice cream eating doesn't seem to make much noise, though!
Love my ice cream at the interval!
