Bruce when I read the question to you regarding your opinion of the most beautiful woman I immediately thought Catherine Deneuve in Umbrellas....   A memory of you going on and on about both the movie and Catherine flashed in my head :)

From DR Jennifer:
Quote
I could not live without the library. At my library you can see when they are taking a book off your account. And you get a receipt when you take out or return books. So you can make sure right away that everything came off correctly.

DR Laura if your library has a website you might find it much easier and more efficient than it used to be.  You can quickly check your account for possible errors.  What I like best is the hold counter for the books I request online & quickly pick up when they are available.

My brother is very lucky to live around the block from his library making it extremely easy to pick up and return books.

DR elmore my deepest condolences to you on the loss of your dear uncle.  I left last night just seconds before you posted your sad news and am sorry not to have seen it.

Last post I can find for der Brucer is from 2007, so actually he's been gone for six years now.

He last posted in April of 2012.

I searched the board and came up with nothing after 2007 - I simply entered "der Brucer" and that's what came up.

Technically, his Member Name is DERBRUCER, not Der Brucer. As with most computer searches, that kind of thing makes a difference when you're looking for something. And it's always easier to search the Member List. You will be able to see the last post(s) of the person you're perusing.

Bruce congratulations on the new reduced pant size.  I know you worked hard to achieve it.  In the notes, I believe you meant to say gut, not guy.

Thanks to DR TCB for his update on Tommy Oz.

Didn't know he'd been fighting cancer. Am glad he's in remission.

Had a conversation with Lanny and the East Coast Singer, gave some notes, and shall now jog prior to the late lunch meeting at two.  That's at an Eyetalian restaurant, so I shall have to ponder what to eat - I'm thinking some mastaciolli with meat balls, although they do have pasta tre P (prosciutto, peas, parmesan) - that's in a cream sauce but I looked up the calories and while it's high it's in my daily allotment of 1200 and I'll be jogging off at least two hundred of it - so we'll have to see.

Oddly, I have no solid memory of when I first saw ALIEN NATION.  I feel like it might have been the TV series first, then catching up with the movie much later.  Regardless, I'll have to watch it again.  Knowing there's some good usage of 1988 L.A. in it will help speed my way to it.

I never saw the movie, but I watched a couple of the TV episodes because the Evita guy had been in the movie. ;)

I really don't remember any more of the series than that.

Congrats on the weight loss, bk. I hope to catch up with you, if not 32s, then 34s.

I could do with getting my waist down but if that means having to go jogging...forget it  ;D

It's my at-home answer to a library book truck.  When doing household projects like cleaning out closets, I've often thought, "I need a book truck!"
