LOL - Isn't this a family site?

Assorted, of course.

So Lady Gaga's new song is called "Applause" and is likely to be in the top ten this coming week.

But it's not a sampling of the musical.  :)

San Antonio's Fiesta grocery stores is making the rounds on the Internet for this unintentionally hilarious sign. It's a good diet aid, if you ask me:

TOD:

Not much love from me for Alan Ladd either. Checking DVD Profiler, I don’t have any Alan Ladd films in my collection but I’ve enjoyed THE BLUE DAHLIA and THE GLASS KEY when they’ve been on TV. I’m obviously in a minority in disliking SHANE which I’ve always thought vastly overrated, along with most of George Stevens’ output. Sorry folks!

And of course, THE MAN IN THE NET co-stars our dear friend and former HHWer, the late Susan Gordon (aka DR DenMother). Here she is, with Ladd, in a scene from the film:

You know, one of the other little kid co-stars from MAN IN THE NET runs a popular restaurant in Los Angeles. I forget the name of the place, however.

DR M Barnum,

I don't believe I ever did see The Man In the Net.  Is it really Suspense Charged as the promo says?

I found it very interesting that Susan Gordon (DR Denmother) was the little girl in it.  How exciting that she is a former HHW Member.  May she rest in peace!

I will try to get it at the library or catch it on TCM .

Getting back to The Blue Dahlia with Alan Ladd, I used to have a dog named Chelsea who reminded me of Veronica Lake.  It was really funny the way her hair would drape in front of her one eye.

My former neighbor said she looked like her.

DR M Barnum,

Too bad your buddy  was already on Hot in Cleveland.  Did you DVR it.  Let us know the next time it is on.  It would be interesting to watch.  As I have said many times, I am a frustrated actress.
I would have loved to have been in a movie or sitcom.

I do think I could act.  I can show real emotion and cry on cue.

Possibly a reincarnation.
