A Chinese zoo is under fire for presenting a dog as a lion. What gave the caper away was when the "lion" started barking.

DR George - when does your murder mystery premiere?

Friday, August 30.  We play that and the next Friday, Saturday and Sunday (matinee) and the final weekend is just Friday and Sunday.

Thanks, DR George. So you've still got plenty of time for the cast to pull everything together.

Today, I went to work for a few hours and got some invoicing done.  Wednesday is the cut-off for this month's invoicing.  Later this afternoon, I went to a showing of the new one-act version of "Cinder-Edna" that I was involved in back in June.  It was really well done.  The cut one character (and unfortunately one actress) to get it down to about an hour and 10 minutes.  They want to offer two versions:  this new one-act version for younger students and the original two-act version for anyone.  I still think that they need to rewrite two songs (not because they're not good), but the rest of the score is quite delightful. :)

Janis Siegel of The Manhattan Transfer recorded a version of "That Old Black Magic" on her solo album, The Tender Trap and the arrangement was mostly in 5/4.  It went to 6/4 at times, but mostly it was in 5/4.  I love that version, too.
