THE WORLD IS MY OYSTER

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were your oyster, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently trying to figure out how to get some oysters.

Deb, we are going to the Stonybrook Theatre AMC/Loews 17 on Friday evening at 8pm. It's the only showing there and it's closest to us but you have a week to see the movie. It's showing at the Regal Deer Park 16 & IMAX on 455 Commack Road in Deer Park (1-631 243-4580). It's playing there from September 20th through the 27. Here is a link to the theatre. You can buy tickets on line or at the theatre (but not over the phone).

It's been raining off and on since last nice. The heat and sticky weather has broken. I'll put up with the rain for the cool weather.

My cousin is in town and we will see her tonight and then we may watch the original Death Takes a Holiday with Frederick March.

So glad to hear that Jason Graae and Brent Barrett will be doing the CD. I can't think of two more perfect singers of the male gender to do this show. I would love to see them do it on stage.

Now why don't we suggest some of the female singers?

I will have no time to watch movies this weekend as
1) It's Yom Kippur
2) I have to prepare for a speech on Monday
3) And I was cast for a play reading, Sunday, of DR. JECKYL & MR. HYDE. I been cast as Dr. Jeckyl, but another actor is playing Mr. Hyde.

Next stop, Graeters, then I'm hitting the road, Jack.  And it'll be time again to wave to DR Ginny - this time with my left hand!

Oy!  What sad news about the Smoke House.  Okay, I know the news could be worse.  Far worse.  Let's not even go there.  But we must appeal to these people who would make such silly changes.

What's in my seedee player: Poltergeist II by Jerry Goldsmith.
What's in my deeveedee player: the Blooray of Star Trek Into Darkness and the new Criterion Blooray of Ministry of Fear, a Fritz Lang film.
I'm reading an anthology called Shadows of the New Sun: Stories in Honor of Gene Wolfe

Later today, I'm acquiring tickets to see (and hear) the new musical Big Fish.   Looking forward to it.

And I'm not seeing the Wizard of Oz until next week, when it opens nation wide. It's not opening until September 20th. We just got the tickets yesterday.

Good morning, all.

Toast is sitting in front of me.  I'm supposed to have breakfast with a friend on Sunday, so I shall have pancakes and bacon then!

We all wrote notes to the manager of the Smoke House saying we didn't come there for change and to please put the Louis back.
