Today is my AA birthday.  As of today, I have been clean and sober for twenty years!

DR TCB, I am so very proud of you.

I just took the garbage to the basement, picked up my mail, and found a lovely card in my email.  I do not understand why my left foot is not throbbing all day. No, the damned thing waits until I lie down and inhibits my sleep.  Well, the progress between this Saturday and last is huge, but sadly not huge enough.

I also got a lovely call from one of the DRs asking about my health. I wasn't at my best. I have a hard time with phone calls at the moment: it's painful and slow getting from the bed to the phone, and standing to talk is even worse.

TOD:
I like the Groucho's versions:

I'd like to dance with you til the cows come home. On second thought, I'd like to dance with the cows til you come home.

Go and never darken my towels again.

I never forget a face, but in your case, I'll make an exception.

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

Maybe I'll treat myself to the Smoke House tonight :)  I could have garlic cheese bread, a shrimp cocktail, and soup, and be well under the calorie intake for the day.

I've been lazy.  Did banking, picked up a couple of packages, and then just took a little drive.  Now listening to the Sandy master, which sounds lovely.

I regret to say that's the only picture I snapped at the Smoke House.  How pathetic is that?

I survived my fast but didn't really do much today.

Congrats to DR TCB!

DR Elmore maybe get a cordless phone if you can. I would not want to be without one.

More vibes to Larry. I'm pleased you're seeing significant progress, despite the frustration.

My doctor told me yesterday that it may be a full year before my left ankle is fully healed. Arrgggh!! But it doesn't hurt much now and I can do most of what I could before. I am just so grateful that I can stand and walk on it now. I was about to say that I'd like to be twenty again, but no. Thirty, yes, but not twenty.

Jeanne should refresh her browser - she's probably seeing the old board or something - since she hasn't caught up she doesn't know we were moved to a new data center yesterday afternoon.  No one else here is getting weird error messages so I can't imagine it could be anything else.

After Michigan eked out their victory over that football powerhouse, University of Akron, we went out to do errands and to visit with Mom for a bit.  We chased some hot air balloons on the way home and picked up sandwiches for dinner.  In for the evening.
