This day continues ill; I called my eye doctor, whose office is in my HMO's 22nd Street facility, and asked to rebook in the next couple of weeks.  There's nothing open until Dec 16, two goddam months away! This ridiculous HMO tells me that I need to call every couple of days and see if there's been a cancellation. I guess they work on the policy of "can't make an appointment, then suffer or die."

What a crock of bullshit.

Using my netpad/tablet to brown the interwebs works, but it's pretty slow.  And in my bed, it's not easy to sit up and use it on the bed or in my lap.  I'll stick to my desktop computer.
And now, it's back to bed for some sleep.  Good night, all. 8)

"...brown the interwebs"?  What the heck did I mean by that??  I can't even imagine what I was supposed to say.

I love the show "South Pacific," Larry, but I just wish I liked what Josh Logan did with it a little more. The color and the lighting are too distracting for me. Maybe if I watched it in black and white ...

Hey, Cillaliz, I forgot to ask what all you did with your apples? And how did the pie turn out? You may have posted this, but my memory is not at its best lately.

Oh, that took me a while..."browse".  That's what I wanted to say.  I have no idea what happened to my brain. :-\

Elvis Stojko was on THE TODAY SHOW this morning and announced he is going into CHICAGO on Broadway as Billy Flynn in February.

Is he going to figure-skate Billy Flynn?

Is that veteran character actress (wants to be leading lady) Debra Messing as Lucy Ball?

I'm home.  The traffic was heavy but moved along.  My  flight was about 30 minutes late.

Was I the only one to like South Pacific?

I adore "South Pacific", especially the "roadshow version" on the last DVD/BD issued.

Vibes for Larry!

And speaking of Cry Havoc, I was just at the June Havoc Theatre last night for a wonderful show about the life of Rosemary Clooney.

And I'm reading a borrowed copy of Early Havoc, then I have a borrowed copy of More Havoc and then a borrowed copy of Gypsy and Me, Erik Lee Preminger's book about his mother.

allergies -Benadryl was a mistake for me  can't stay awake == lost the whole day and still sleepy

The only time I take Benadryl during the day is for an emergency, i.e. a severe reaction to something such as Brazil nuts.

I'm such an idiot for stopping at the mailbox today.  The mail is often late on Monday's so I didn't make the Columbus Day connection until just now  ::)

I am waiting for my Adobe ID number to be emailed to me so I can check out a book for Keith on his iPad.  I hope someone doesn't grab the book before I can.  This is taking awhile.

I am interested in Nursie's Pumpking Bread.

It was very easy to make, except grating the nutmeg took a little bit of work ;)

Oh, the new pan I got was a bit too small for the recipe.  I thought that would be the case.  The pan I used is slightly on the small side at 9" x 5" (1 pound).

DR Jennifer go to your FB page and open a photo and copy the url.  Paste that here and then use the "insert image".  It should work even those the photo was too large.

This is super cool news. Although it is in Toronto, not Broadway.  Love him as a figure skater. Wonder if he can act or sing.

There was no mail, no library, no pools open today. But surprisingly here the malls were open. In other provinces they were closed.
