It's after noon, and neither Publisher's Clearing House nor the state lotto commission have called to announce my winnings.
Do you find swimming helps your shoulders? I find it hard to swim with a sore shoulder.Speaking of shoulders, for some odd reason my left shoulder is bothering me today. It feels like i exercised it a lot. But the only thing i did was bike.
It's definitely not been a good week. The cough and sore throat persist and because I've been sitting and lying around so much, I've now got backache. I need to be fit to fly to Germany on Monday but there's a big storm brewing for that day so my travel plans that day may get totally scuppered if aircraft get cancelled.

Get Well VIBES for DR Doug R who was not NEARLY as lucky as I was with my cold. Mine, for all practical purposes, had left the building as of yesterday.
I had an interesting time at the Austin Film Festival yesterday.I did one of their Roundtable sessions, and sitting next to me at one of those tables was actor Robert Walden (LOU GRANT), who has just moved to Austin. We will probably have lunch together in the next week or two. Also, a guy came up to me, asked if I was "Michael Druxman," then told me that, when he was a teenager back in the early 1970s, he would come to my house in Agoura Hills, CA, and watch the 16mm movies I would show almost every night in my living room. He said that watching movies in my house is what inspired him to go to film school.Later, he became a psychotherapist, but now he wants to try screenwriting, which is why he was at the Austin Film Festival.
I missed Merrily We Roll Along. I thought it might have played in Montreal, but they are not getting it until Nov 7 and I will be back home by then. Maybe they'll do an Encore showing and I will get to see it,Otherwise I will download and watch it from Digital Theater (?) that also has Into The Woods that was down in a park and had the kid as the narrator. This was the original British version
Catching Up #3My Fair Lady being restricted.Do they mean Jews and Blacks aren't allowed to do it? :-)Which reminds me of a story. Groucho Marx was invited to a restricted club in (I think) Beverly Hills. He was informed that he wasn't allowed to go into the pool because he was jewish. He then asked since his daughter was half jewish could she go into the pool up to her knees?

My friend Greta is visiting India for two weeks. She is meeting Indian movie stars and Indian movie directors. I am quite envious.

But don't despair...I got an email yesterday from a Mrs. Sara Khan letting me know that she will soon begin putting large amounts of money into my checking account, until it reaches 2.5 million. I will kindly share whatever I get.
From DR Jennifer:QuoteDo you find swimming helps your shoulders? I find it hard to swim with a sore shoulder.Speaking of shoulders, for some odd reason my left shoulder is bothering me today. It feels like i exercised it a lot. But the only thing i did was bike.I find swimming extremely helpful for my right shoulder that almost always hurts since the breaks and replacement. It is also the only exercise for my upper body that doesn't regularly cause me to be in more pain. I do have sore muscles right now, but that is regular sore muscles that anyone would have after exercising when they haven't done it in awhile. It was hard to swim at first but I have a good idea what is pain I can safely work through or need to back off from the activity if possible.I hope your shoulder feels better.

Which is interesting because they have a picture and bio of Rae Allen who played Mrs. Hatch. Which is interesting because she was not part of the opening night cast. So either she was let go before the show opened or she was a replacement cast member that made it to the programI just checked the published vocal score; Rae Allen played Mrs Hatch on opening night, Michael.Interesting because in the ibdb and I believe the Best Plays of... (which I don't have here) an actress named Evelyn Page is credited. Maybe she left rather quickly after the opening and Rae Allen stepped in
