Things are fine for me right now.  Anyhoo...

Had a major day of rest, which I suppose I needed.  Back into action tomorrow.  Loafed around most of the morning and afternoon, did a little shopping for food and such (mostly food, with just a little such picked up on impulse), and I just watched -- first time ever -- I MARRIED A WITCH.  What a delight!

I came home and we were on page three, which wasn't right at all.  Then my posts wouldn't go through, then I called and while the tech was looking for the problem, we suddenly were well into page four, now page five and a bunch of repeated posts, although that could be because we were all trying to post the same thing multiple times.  Very weird.  Hopefully we'll be okay from here on in, but our excellent tech is monitoring and still poking around.

I had such a crazy day - was behind in the morning, then had to hurry to the theater - amazing drive there - fifteen minutes to Venice Blvd. via the freeway and then ten minutes from there to the theater - twenty-five minutes, which is what this drive should take every day, but it's never been less than fifty and is frequently closer to an hour-fifteen.

Had another good drill rehearsal, made a couple of decisions, added a song, made a duet a solo.  Then we ate at a bbq jernt on Lincoln that's gotten raves from all over, including the Food Network show, Diners, Dives and whatever.  Simply put, one of the worst meals I've ever eaten.  I love bbq and I love most of all Kansas City, where the sauce is sweet.  Here all the sauces were tart and vinegary and tasted bad.  The pulled pork had no flavor at all, the cornbread was grotesque, the cole slaw a bore, the creamed spinach inedible, and needless to say I won't be going back.

Then home and immediately had the Sandy rehearsal, which went very well.  I'm already exhausted.

Just hoping the board is back to normal.  I knew three pages couldn't be right.

Sounds like you had North or South Carolina-style barbecue.

Imagine the fun I'm having with several styles of Texas barbecue and people think there's only one style.

The weird thing about the board and posting was that the board itself was fine - it loaded, I read posts, got from page to page, but just couldn't post.

It was not unlike watching a few scenes from CELINE AND JULIE GO BOATING.

Seems "Big Fish" is nearing its expiration date. A closing has been set for December.

I have a HUGE load of laundry in the dryer right now. Soon, I will be folding a HUGE load of laundry. I actually sorta like folding laundry. Not exciting or fascinating, but it's a post.

DR Ginny called while I was getting ready for bed. So, I was going to report that she was having trouble getting online, but she's already done that.

I'm going to read a bit and go to bed. I have physical therapy tomorrow morning and the day to decide if i want to go to the Goodspeed alumni party tomorrow at Lincoln Center at 6:00. It's going to mean walking and standing, two things I'm not doing well.

Hubris. The reviews weren't that great in Chicago, as I recall. I still would like to see it, since I know several of the cast. I've known Andrew Lippa since he got to New York after University of Michigan and joined the Gay men's Chorus 20 years ago. I'm not much of a fan.

Hello!  DR Kate and I went to our great-nephew's 1st birthday party at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum:

It looks like a fun place to have a birthday party.
