I just watched "Six By Sondheim," thanks to HBO on Demand, andI liked much of it. Hated whoever it was doing "I'm Still Here," and the clip fem PASSION reminded me how much I disliked it. I also didn't like the various singers singing "Send In The Clowns": too many different keys and too many bad performances.
I did love the clip of Dean Jones recording "Being Alive" from the Pennebaker documentary and "Sunday," which brought back a flood of memories: the original workshop and the cut songs, the changes during the Broadway previews, and the Pulitzer madness of May 1985, in which I was a very proud participant.
