Good morning, all.

Glad the show went well, Mike, and here's hoping that it does lead to more in your future.

TOD:

Rappelling off an abandoned bridge in Richmond, Va.

I am afraid of heights and the idea of having to get perpendicular to the bridge post was anathema to me. I just freaked out.

That said, I had no trouble jumping out of an airplane to parachute or to jump off a cliff in Brazil when I went hang gliding.

I think I prefer the name Brazil to Unique.

Greetings from Toyland!

It took forever to get here, but I'll be here for a bit, then I go to a "Christmas Up The Holler" meeting.

It will come apart in four or five pieces so that it will fit in the trunk of my car.  The heaviest piece will be lighter than my current wheelchair.

I'm impressed.

I have a student in the home environs today, so I must spiffy up the place a bit.

Tonight, I'm seeing a production of The Heiress which I hear is wonderful.  Nevertheless, I must start the caffeine intake now.

Hello, everyone.

DR Matthew, I like the quote under your avatar. It is a quote, isn't it?

I am caring for my rash. Everyone I talk to tells me they've either had this or knows someone else who did and how awful it is. I can confirm that it is NOT pleasant. Sleeping is tough and insufficient sleep doesn't help. I will try to nap. I will say this: I've sung the BioMat's praises before and I shall sing them again--infrared heat is soooo soothing! It reduces pain and doesn't seem to bother the rash at all.

As for Singdaw's winter walks with DD Zach, how do you bend over to put Zach's boots on once you're bundled up? I would think that you couldn't bend very far. Or have you trained Zach to do them himself?

I have it on my calendar that I have a lunch appointment with an old high school friend today.

DR FJL....for some reason all of my high school friends are now old, too.

LOL. Yeah, mine, too. How'd that happen?

TOD:

Regarding professional work, my most challenging writing assignment was when I was asked to write a chapter on tai chi and qigong for a medical textbook on acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Not so easy to write about subtle energy, especially for a Western audience. I had not published anything previously in the medical field, but I had an excellent editor.

Last night I watched BLUE JASMINE. Not a fave, but fans of Sally Hawkins will enjoy her in a very Sally Hawkins type of role. In fact, I don't think I've seen her in any other sort of role.

DR Jeanne -  :)    :)

The solution is: put the dog boots on the dog first.  THEN bundle up.

That line (especially in context) always gets a great laugh.
