I myself will be having a wisdom tooth pulled early this afternoon. One of eight major dental appointments for me necessary between now and May.       :P

Oh, dear.

Later on today, you'll be sadder and less wiser....

Hello, all,

First,
to DR Mike!!

I'm still in the wilds of Maine for two and a half more weeks. Yesterday, the unthinkable. Singing that lovely, but difficult music at 10am for kids who didn't want to be there. Ah, well. The other 3 school shows were cancelled. I'm sure there were one or two kids who liked it. But at that hour for us. Bad new bears. Oy.

Happy Friday. Four more shows this weekend...

That's horrible.

The way you wear your hat....

....The way you sip your tea....

........The memory of all that....

............Oh, no, they can't take that away from me!

DR Elan, our son had similar surgery right before he started high school, but I'm not allowed to talk about it...

A wonderful moment in a wonderful King Vidor film:

I am taking my car to the shop this morning.  My sister Myrna will follow me and bring me home.  Hopefully it can be repaired without breaking the bank.  Time Will Tell.

Last night, we went out in the cold to see some of the ice sculptures on display in Rice Park, as a part of the 10-day long Winter Carnival. It was beautiful, but hard to see the sculptures because of a recent snowfall that had not been brushed off.

This must have been incredible to see.

The Princess Cruises ship, Pacific Princess, otherwise known to many as The Love Boat, is currently being dismantled at a shipyard in Turkey. It will not be making another run.      :-\

Sad.  It looks so small compared to what we were on.  And the staff was nowhere as friendly as on THE LOVEBOAT, but then they never seemed to work on those cruises.  We enjoyed watching episodes of the show while we were on the cruise.

I want to wipe off those ice sculptures from here. I wonder why they left the snow. How annoying.

At first I had the same reaction.

Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor??

Quote
Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman's rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940," [director Zack] Snyder said in a statement. "What's great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He's a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions."

Interesting choice. ::)

Yes, Eisenberg should make a very interesting Lex Luthor.  For those who can't "picture it", recall, if you will, Michael Keaton as Batman and Heath Ledger as The Joker.  Neither seemed appropriate upon announcement, but they totally WERE those characters.

Car vibes for DR JRand63 who doesn't want to be JRand64 before the car is back in his possession.
