I'm watching a nice backstage film about London in the 1930s, These Foolish Things, which is based on a Noel Langley novel There's A Porpoise Close Behind Us. Langley was one of the 1937 WIZARD OF OZ screenwriters. The film's about the daughter of a stage star trying to make it and her romance with a director and a playwright and it reminds me a bit of [i[Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day[/i] and Being Julia.

Ashley Wagner takes herself way too seriously, IMO.  She scares me a bit.  I also don't enjoy watching her skate.  I'm thinking the judges find her a bit much, as well.

I don't think Sotnikova came anywhere NEAR matching Carolina Kostner's component elements and a "fair" assessment of the former's skate would likely have seen the same three on top but in different positions.

I thought that Mao Asada's long program was amazing. I am so sad that she did so poorly in the short program.

I cannot believe that  Sotnikova won. It makes no sense to me. Kurt Browning (one of the announcers in Canada) was in shock. He likes her well enough (as do I). But he thought that her artistry was no where near the others. Plus she stumbled.

I thought that Yuma Kim was wonderful. I was shocked that she was rated 5 points lower than the Russian. I am sad the kid Russian fell. I much prefer her style of skating to the girl who won.

I switched insurance companies and they sent my new info and card in a plastic folder.  After just 1 minute looking at it and getting my new card out of it my lips itch, my throat is scratchy, and I have a headache.  I'm airing out the paperwork to look at later.

Work has been piling up lately and I've been stressed out trying to find some quiet time at the office to get work done.  I had a big project today and decided to go back to the office tonight.  I was there for about 3 1/2 hours and got the project done.  I feel really good about that. I'm going to work for several hours tomorrow too.  I think it will cut down on the stress I am feeling at not being able to get work done during the day due to the chaos.  Not complaining about the work, just wishing I had more hours in the day
