I must made some health insurance decisions soon. The agent I spoke to today was pleasant, not pushy, and seemed knowledgeable. I'd be happy to give him my business. The agent I spoke to a while back was pushy, highly opinionated, and didn't wait for me to finish asking my question before he chimed in with his answer. I hate that! I also find that those answers don't address my questions; they respond to the question they anticipate will be asked, not to what I'm actually asking. Oy! I'll meet with agent #2 next week to go into more detail.

A "Sherlock" fan at the gym lent us season 3 of the show.  We are going to re-watch the season beginning with episode 1 tonight.

Vixmom, to answer your question from last night: I used sourdough from the local grocery and it was terrible. San Antonio is a tortilla town, not a bread town. People here seem to hate character in or crusts on their bread. They want everything soft and characterless. So, there was no sour flavor and the bread seemed to fall apart the moment you touched a knife to it. It was sloppy and messy, but it did not get in the way of the cheese or the butter.

do you have any Paneras near you?  They usually have a nice selection of different types of bread and you can have them slice them to order -  I prefer a thick cut for grilled cheese or french toast

Why is TCM showing Christmas movies in March?

I think they  are confused by the weather we are having

I got the Edie Adams show from the library today. This is a weird show, and I love it. Her pilot begins with her singing the Bilbao Song in German. Right now, she's got Dick Shawn doing something called The Cockamamie. Very funny.

Went to a retirement party for a friend of mine who's younger than me but she's put in her 20+ years with the Air Force and was sort of forced out. Now she needs to find a new career. She has her first interview Monday.

In San Antonio, military employs a lot of people. With the cutbacks coming, I see that affecting the economy here.

I could really go for a huge bowl of good split pea soup right about now.
