I wonder if people will protest his funeral?

Wouldn't it be ironic justice if the Westboro Baptist "Church" picketed his funeral?       :)

Here's a fun bit from the Ernie Kovacs show combining Victor Herbert, Wagner and some mayhem:

The HAP-HAP-HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS to BK's Dear Daughter!  Don't forget the tap-tap-tapioca!  And dance the cari-cari-carioca!  And have a big mug of mo-mo-mocha!

I never heard of "New England Boiled Dinner" to mean what I have always known as "Corned Beef and Cabbage."  Or did I misread something?

I would have thought you were talking about a clambake or some such.

I've always heard corned beef and cabbage called corned beef and cabbage. Probably depends on where you live.

Here when a bus is not running they post a sign on top of the bus stop.  It seems only fair.

I think it is regional.  In NY, we always called it the day to open the windows. ;)

Actor Wayne Knight is dead. This is so sad.

Strangely, this is on Wayne Knight's twitter account:

Wayne Knight ‏@iWayneKnight
Some of you will be glad to hear this, others strangely disappointed, but….I am alive and well!

I guess it is a hoax.  What is wrong with people.

The picture of the "accident" is from a real accident that happened in 2009. :-\

His IMDb bio has been changed to say he died.

ABC News Aviation expert, and old friend of mine, John Nance said last night that someone in the cockpit could have depressureized the cabin and after twenty minutes the masks run out of oxygen.  That way he could have killed everyone else so that he wouldn't have to worry about them storming the cockpit.  What a cheerful thought that is.

And I am home. This is one of those days where the cons outweigh the pros of living in Manhattan and I am quite livid at the moment.  I could not get to Toyland without a subway this morning. Since i care as much for the New York Marathon as I do for a non-anaesthetic hemorrhoidectomy, I have no idea what the fat hell a "half marathon" is or why the City allows it to fuck up public transportation and tell no one. As a consequence, I waited at Columbus Circle for nearly an hour wondering why no buses showed up. Finally, a kind policeman whose second language was an indecipherable broken English informed me that a lot of streets were closed off for this cockamamie marathon and, clearly, no M20 or M7 buses were taking me anywhere. I got into a taxi and came home. Thank you, Manhattan.  And fuck you.

I know what you mean. The marathon here traps me at home for the day. The road that exits our subdivision is closed so the runners can run on it.

Hi TCB,

The wifi here is problematic too.  I depend on the kindness of strangers (the main office) to produce a strong enough signal for my computer to pick up.  Some days, if it's windy, I can't get a signal that is consistent.  I don't have the fast connection I would rather have, but at the current price, I guess I shouldn't complain.

I didn't notice it earlier today.  I first read about the possibility of a hoax at the very bottom of the link DR elmore shared instead of near the top where it belongs.
