What a nutty day. I got up at about ten-fifteen and at ten-forty Grant called and asked where I was - he was at the paperback show and I was supposed to be there signing at eleven. Same thing happened last year, only I missed it altogether. So, I got ready as quickly as I could, then thankfully thought to just jot down the address in Mission Hills before I left - that was smart because for the first time ever, the show wasn't being held there but in Glendale. So, I put the address in my phone and headed out - much shorter trip - unfortunately, I put Blvd. instead of Rd. and I went about five miles out of my way to a residential street. But I still got there by eleven-twenty and sat for forty minutes - I sold one book and gave out several autographs to boot. Sat next to a fantasy writer named James Blaylock who seems to have written a huge number of books. On the other side, was some guy who wrote a bio of Bob and Ray. I had fun, Grant sat by me, and then I looked around the show, before leaving for the theater.
