Involvees is quite a word, DR Ron Pulliam.  Its coiner should be proud.  Proud, I say.      8)

DR John G.'s post last night caused me to do a bit of research on southern cooking cookbooks. My, there appears to have been quite a burst of activity in this area in the past few years!

From DR Vixmom:
Quote
Vixdad was offered a 18 month  gig in New York  he saw it as a working holiday -  he  took side trips to  Niagra Falls, Washington DC , Florida as well as exploring NYC  his plan was: after the 18 months was up to get a job in California explore the west coast a bit and then get a job in Austrailia...  but then he met  me and I am afraid I derailed his plans

Sweet story though too bad you didn't finish his travel plans together before settling down ;)

DR Jane you are a super fast reader. I can't imagine that it could take you more than 3 days to finish a book. I wouldn't be worried about 21 days for 2 books

I'm not really worried but I am trying to read less.  I only got a few chapters into the book last night.  I am enjoying it and was proud of myself for sleeping instead of reading.

I expect at least one more library book to become available and while I know the odds are I will easily read the two books in 21 days I like to not have to feel rushed.  One never knows what unknown will interfere with my reading.

I've got a good half-dozen or so of them. Some are quite involved.

Jane I am sorry we gave you a headache I had no idea you were so  sensitive to visual cues - it never even occurred to me  it would be an issue

I usually close my eyes and half look scrolling writing but this really spun.  I could hardly use the early computers and initially only did email.  I close my eyes when I am looking at something with Keith and he has to scroll.

Has this ever happened to you?

Last night, I dreamed that the phone was ringing, so I really opened my eyes, reached over to the phone next to my bed and answered it; said "Hello".  Of course, nobody was there, and in checking the phone's digital record this morning, no call had come in.

Actually, the same thing happened about a month or so ago.

 :o

I wonder if somebody is trying to reach me from "the other side".

My alarm woke me up this morning.  It was loud and clear, except I can barely hear my real alarm so I know it was a dream.  This is not the first time my dream alarm has woken me.

Good morning, everyone!

Slipping in to say thank you again for all the good wishes for my mom's health. She's doing marginally better, but ICU on a ventilator is fun for no one. As her body clears out the toxins out from before the surgery, things are slowly improving. I hope to have more good news and soon. But truly, thank you all!   :)

Oh yes, and Happy Orthographer's Hump Day, where every hump is spelled correctly.  :P

Thank you for the update.  ICU is where she will get the best care, while scary don't be in a rush for her to leave.  Often it is after patients leave ICU new issues arise.

Is it going to be one of THOSE days?

Reminds me of a Jimmy Durante song:

"It's one of those days that you get now and then...."

Thanks, it is long gone.  I am very lucky as they are mild when I do get them, in fact it was a long time before a doctor even told me they where migraines vs bad headaches.

Heavy traffic on Sixth Avenue; it was a slow bus ride home.

I accomplished much at Toyland. My bathroom had no angst today, and looks just like I left it.

This morning, I discovered an article on our website that was about making sure you had a last will and testament. The headline was "Exit Strategies." I cried foul. Thankfully, I was heard on that one.

I find it funny, morbidly so. But that's not what we do.
