the shower was very nice, the guest of honor suitably surprised and the baby to be well supplied with clothes, toys, books,diapers,car seat, seing, stroller and other useful baby stuff

I had it charged and then thought it wise to replace it - I was on year 4 of a 3 year battery

Last time I had the oil changed in my car they told me the battery was getting low so I replaced it.

It was. A co-worker is in the show and I spoke with her afterward. She said that the play "Orphan Train" deals mostly with the children and had little information/scenes with the adults who did it all. They found another play that dealt mostly with the adults' stories and they combined them. She also said that they had to pay the royalties on BOTH shows...but they were able to do it. They combined it all quite well.

It's amazing what people misremember. Some guy said he saw a movie called Light in the Forest starring Carol Lynley. I had to tell him it was Light in the Piazza starring Yvette Mimieux.

And I am home from Encores! I got there at 4:30, caught the last scene, and stayed for the talkback. I got a big hug and kiss from Jo Loesser, whom I love. She was ecstatic over the production and so enthusiastic about everything. On the way out, we planned a luncheon date.

Then I met Rob's parents and he invited me to join them for dinner at the Trattoria Dell'Arte.

The meal was fantastic. I had the most wonderful lobster salad with mozzarella and tomatoes, and the Bermans are such a fantastic and supportive family. I adore them. I want to slip them into my coat pocket and bring them home with me to be my parents. Rob is very lucky to have such a fantastic pair. I told them all about the Dublin recording, we gossiped about our favorite BBC shows, the Encores! production. It was quite lovely. I walked Rob back to City Center and caught a taxi home. I understand I got an acknowledgement in the Playbill. That wasn't necessary at all.

So, I think I'll go back tomorrow night and watch the whole show from backstage, then go to the party. It should be a lot of fun.

I had thought I wouldn't be able to sit down with the book till at least Sunday evening, but I'm going to stop what I'm doing in a little while and get into it tonight. I've been keyboard-programming HAIRSPRAY, and it ain't pretty, and I'm about at the point where the rest of the evening needs to be relaxing. I'll finish one just one more song...
