Today I wanted into the dental office and almost bumped into an older man who looked a lot like Dick Van Dyke. He left just after that. It seemed eh had good reason to look like Dick Van Dyke, as he was Dick Van Dyke. The moment he left the buzz was, "Was that Dick Van Dyke?" "Yes, that was Dick Van Dyke." It certainly created a stir.

Also of interest to me was the other patient who was waiting, a 40-ish Asian man in tight leather pants and 3-inch high heels. Now, you know I didn't wish to stare, but are those REALLY high heels he's wearing?? This wasn't Hollywood or West Hollywood--this was Westwood Village. I guess I don't get out much.

This hygienist seems quite competent, but she always wants to chat and, well, I don't wish to chat with her. She was playing a political radio talk show--what?? no soothing music?--and then wanted to talk politics. OY!! I may need to feign deafness next time.

Well, it's time to head for the theater.  Tonight will be two full run-throughs...runs-through?  At some point soon, the stage manager and I have to consolidate our scripts into one working script with the (very few) light and sound cues.  I don't know if he's actually written anything out, or if he's just been doing them on the fly.  I actually don't think that he has anything written down, yet.  Well, I need something written down.  We'll see.

It seems inappropriate to me for her to push her politics on you, even if you agree with them.  Next time ask for soothing music.
