I thought having Young Frankenstein tech week fall on a week that I'm on spring break would be an advantage... I was wrong.  It's messing with my sleep schedule and I'm pretty sure I have a cold now.  Just thought I'd share.

Hopefully, we can get an audience to come to the show.  Tonight and tomorrow are the nights for Olympia's Arts Walk.  Parking is going to be a problem.  I need to be there by 6:30, but I'll probably have to plan to be there by 6:15 at the very latest.  That should give me enough time to find parking.  ALSO, the board is supposed to bring snacks for a little after-the-show reception/party since this is opening night of our very first show in our very own space. :)

Good vibes for a large audience!

Thanks, Jane!

DR George, I can't recall if I wished you broken legs or not... just know that I do, just in case.

Thanks, Mike!  I'll take 'em anytime. ;D

LOL.....it made me feel better anyway!

I am very happy.  My mom - who is 83 - has finally decided to stop working.  She has been doing alterations for clothes for a local Wrangler store since 1970....they bring jeans and other items to her daily, and she alters them.

TODAY is her last day.  When they pick up the basket, she is done!  I am so happy.  I have been trying to encourage her to stop for many years now...and she finally did!!!

Hurray!

Congrats on your Mom's Retirement, Jack!!

DR George, I'm happy that CHAMBER MUSIC went so well. I love the MNozart string quartet asked for, and I still laugh over "Joan of Arc/Died in the dark." "Gertrude Stein is fat."

Has the fact been discussed that maybe she really is Amelia Earhart (is a dear heart) since every other lady in the play is dead?

Larry, the question, "Is Amelia Earhart really Amelia Earhart?" was raised, but one or two of the ladies did die after the play is set (1939), so I don't know if in their rehearsal they dealt with that.  Our director Pug, started a Chamber Music blog with information about the real ladies, and to help get the word out.  Here's the poster art for the show:

And I am home from a long day at Toyland, City Center, and the post office. I finally heard from my doctor and i have an appointment for Tuesday afternoon.

Now I must walk to the bank. I'm also waiting to hear from conductor John Wilson who has questions. Hmmm.

It's actually "out of"....we Americans just say "outta".

Think "Oklahoma!"

Out of my dreams and into the hush of falling shadows,
When the mist is low and stars are breaking through
Then out of my dreams I'll go
Into a dream with you.

I always write "outta" DR MBARNUM....but I don't think there is a correct way to spell it.

I would write it outta too. But not sure if it is even a word.

out·ta

/ˈoutə/

preposition

preposition: outta; preposition: outa

1. an informal contraction of “out of,” used in representing colloquial speech.

"we'd better get outta here"

Topic of the Day:  here at work, I'm listening to Pink Martini's DVD, "Discover the World.  I got it at their concert last week, and many of the band members AND The Von Trapps who sang with them at the concert (but not on the DVD ::)) signed it. :)

I am calm now.  Suddenly my Yahoo password was Not accepted.  I went around the help loop a couple of times.  I cannot reset online, they say, so I have been on hold for 52 minutes.

I hate when Yahoo does that!

I know DR Jane, you are right. I just kept thinking it would go away as I had thought it was just a tiny bruise or something temporary. And it is kind of towards the  back of my leg...outa sight, outa mind, you know.

I know.

I was something on my lip I forgot to ask about when I had the "emergency" check on something on my hand that was benign.  I think I wanted to forget cuz I didn't want a biopsy on my lip just before leaving town.  With luck, whatever it is, will be gone by my May appointment.

Has anyone seen WONDERETTES: CAPS AND GOWNS?  The Oregon Cabaret Theater is currently showing it and I asked our upcoming company if they would like to go.  The response was yes, if the reviews are good.   LOL, considering I have never seen a bad review of anything in town I hesitate to go by reviews.
