Elmore, PremiereOpera has a recording of Most Happy Fella, not a video. Think it'll be OK? The one recording I bought from them was lousy. I don't mean the sound but the physical CD.

I have liked much of what I have purchased, but last month's DVD purchases were of pathetic quality.

TOD - we watched most of the Hugh Jackman OKLAHOMA! last night, so I'll finish that today and probably watch the disc of bonus features.

I hate this production: Trevor Nunn should not be allowed near a musical, I don't like the leading lady, and Susan Strohman's work is nowhere near the Agnes deMille original in talent nor in intellect.

Well DR CHAS SMITH at least the recording is in HIGH FIDELITY!!!

If you don't know about this CD, I heartily recommend its purchase for you and other HHW'ers who are interested in the unusual and intriguing. It is available on Amazon, a used copy can be had for a penny plus shipping.

DR ELMORE I use this little free program to resize photos....and if you click the right button, it will put it in the same folder with your original photo and mark it COPY.  Very fast, no spyware.

I thought Josefina Gabrielle was better as Gussie in Merrily We Roll Along. On the DVD, I really like Jackman, Schuyler Hensley (sp?) and the actor who plays Will Parker. I agree with pretty much everything else you say.

DR Elmore, I kept thinking of the wonderful production we saw together in New York in 1980...

Beautiful photo!

We are having one of those perfect view mornings, clouds over the tops of the mountains and lots of green on the lower ones.  Our bright yellow broom is blooming right :)

Yesterday I got to spend time with the sweet handsome cat that lives at a shoe store in town-made my day.

More than anything, just holding Keith's hand makes me happy.

Well my nephew Patrick will be leaving to go to Denver CO Saturday.

He will be trying out Again For THE AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR SHOW on Monday and Tuesday.  He will also be one of the Feature Stories, which is really exciting for Him and our families.

I will be praying him to do well and return safely.

I, too, enjoyed your "Li'l Abner" reminiscences, Bruce.   My first viewing of the film was on TV and I was totally smitten with the score.  Bought the LP as soon as my local record store could get it for me.  I remain bowled over by the melodic content of the score and the gorgeous orchestrations and vocals in the movie.

Sigh.
