Thank you DR FJL and DR JANE - It's the only baby picture I have of the two of us....at least that I can find.

She was usually the one behind the camera.

My father took the photos so I don't know why I can't find any early ones of just my mother with me.  There are plenty of her with my two older siblings-the downside of being the youngest I suppose ;D

nice service at church followed by the annual  Mother's Day  breakfast cooked and served by the men - this year we had  ricotta pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry pancakes, sausage, bacon, bagels, scrambled eggs,  orange juice, coffee & tea

delish!

we also had our annual plant sale  I had bought some flowers yesterday (the sale lasts all weekend)  and  the ceramic pot  with a variety  of green plants was my  gift for my elderly parishioner.

thanks to the breakfast i  did not have to stay  and host  or cleanup a coffee hour today so I headed over to the nursinghome and found Tally and her daughters on the rear deck enjoying the beautiful warm and sunny day

it is very warm and sunny for a change

DR vixmom - glad you recovered your phone. We're going to have to tie it around your neck with a string.     :)

Hello!   Today we had a nice morning rain.  I can't remember the last time it just rained.  It was about 1/2 inch.  We have chances for storms later today. Hoping we could maybe just get another 1/2 inch of rain

Paul and I had breakfast at HyVee.  We were laughing at the number of people running in at the last minute to get flowers for their mothers

After the rain the air is so clear and crisp.  I've got the windows open airing out the house.  Boo ran from window to window as I opened them and jumped up on the ledge of each one checking it out.  It was so cute.  Today I  feel like I'm spending mother's day with my kids.

Yesterday was one of our lowest posting days in history, let's try not to duplicate that dubious honor this day.

Trying to post a Mother's day photo.  I'm not sure what that is on my head - a yarmulke, maybe?

I'm sure all local eateries will be madhouses today, so I guess I won't go anywhere until around three.

Any idea when the recording with BD Wong will be released? I put money into it on Kickstarter.

SUNDAY TRIVIA

I have posted this one before and it is one of my favorites. So if you know the answer from the previous time please allow someone to answer it.

This playwright wrote three plays that were produced on Broadway. One in the 60's, one in the 70's and one in the 80's. Each played one performance.

The play in the 80's also is notable for something else in Broadway history.

Name the playwright, the plays and what it is notable for.

Here is a clue:

The first lady of the theater.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  I've had a delightful Mother's Day.  We attended church with Rob and Mary Linda, then went to lunch at Chipotle.  We went to vist my Mom and were met there by my cousin Perry who is here with his fiancé for their wedding in Troy, OH, next Saturday.  Pam was out shopping with her maid of honor, but we'll probably see her sometime this week.  Mom's undecided about going to the wedding...

The Sorrow and the Pity has come to an end. Wonderful film. But it's time for something both lighter and darker: Forgotten Film Noir. Two movies. First up is Fingerprints Don't Lie with Lyle Talbot buried somewhere in the cast.

About halfway to church, Richard looked over at me and said, "Where's your Mother's Day present?"

I said, "Where IS my Mother's Day present?"

He said, "It's at home in my desk!"

Well, it's around my neck now - a beautiful, delicate necklace of multi-color stones that I admired in a downtown gallery a week or so ago!
