CONGRATS to THE VIXTER. I have no doubt that she was very deserving of this award. But it's no surprise, as we know that the Vixfamily has a very strong work ethic. I hope that she's a role model for the other workers.

I knew as soon as BK told us his concept for the sets that I'd love them. I certainly love what I see in the photos. God willing, I shall be able to see them up close and personal this week.

It sounds like a major step forward was made in the Ohio situation. Sad, yes. But needed. And it went well. I do think it puts the Really Big Step, the sale of the property, closer.

Listening to an upcoming release that I've mentioned before.  Some additional work has been done on it and it truly sounds incredible and will amaze people that after over sixty years this soundtrack will finally be released.

Bruce, I have no doubt that you wish to take LI'L ABNER on the road after LACC. Anything you can talk about yet?

Thanks, Jeanne, for asking (and other DRs, as well!). I believe that today I am starting to feel like my old self.       :)

Well, yesterday here was the first truly nice spring-like day that we've had. It was prom night for many, so like the good Uncles that we are, we trooped over to the Walker Art Museum near downtown Minneapolis to see our niece getting pre-photos taken.

I'm glad to hear it. Personally, I'd like to feel like my young self, but so would a lot of people!

Most of the young men were in traditional black tie. I remember that when I went to prom, the latest thing was a pastel ruffly front (not sure what you call it, or if it even has a name?) that attached to the front of the shirt. None of those in evidence yesterday.

It seems like quite a few years ago, now!     And I guess it was.

Thanks, DR Jeanne!  We were looking forward to being in her life more as one of the benefits of moving to the midwest. But by this time next year, she'll be heading away to school somewhere else.

Not sure what we'll do with Abner after LACC.  I have tried to contact one of the eight people who control the grand rights, to no avail.  I'll now try a few of the others.  I would like to lock up the rights for a first-class revival for a few months, at which point I would start meeting with people who could make that happen.

Yesterday, I went to my friend's mother-in--law's 90th birthday party.  Luckily, the weather was ideal.  Mostly sunny and in the high 60's , I think.  My friend has quite a nice house with a huge, sloping back yard.  It was a very nice party.  The guest of honor is having another party in July, near her actual birthday.  Her friends will be at that one.  I was included with the family yesterday.

As for a gift, I decided to get her a "then and now" book about Washington, DC. It shows photos from many years ago alongside photos of the same street, etc. from today.

Watching Back to Brooklyn, thinking that last year at this time I was preparing for my European trip to see Ms. S.

This year I'm preparing for my trip to Buffalo!

Of course I'm looking forward to seeing DR Kate and my other relatives.  My little great-nephew is about 18 months old and I'm sure he's changed a lot since I saw him at Christmas time.
