DR ELMORE RE:MQOS

I shoulda knowed I couldn't learn you nothin'.

That's not true, DR JRand63! I learn a lot from you. I had been digging through a lot of info on MQOS the night before so I know a lot about the old girl.

From DR Cilla:
Quote
Last night I went to the high school graduation of my young client from Guatemala who we have sort of adopted.  He was so excited. It was fun just to be there.   After graduation a group of us walked across the street from the arena to Perkins, he was so excited he never took off his cap and gown the whole evening.  Well, when he went to eat and the tassel started to get in his food, he did take the cap off.  It was so cool to see how proud he was.  It was a great night

This really made me smile.

This article explains thermography very well. It's not just for breast cancer detection, either; it can be used anywhere on the body. Jane, do you see why I'm outraged that UCLA and other major institutions don't offer it?

You would expect a teaching hospital like UCLA to have newer equipment.  I guess until more studies are done that will be difficult.  I have my 6 month check on Friday and I will ask her about it.  Yes, I'm getting checked every 6 months now per my new young doctor.  We shall see if medicare actually covers it.  We will discuss an MRI also.

And I am home.  Because of a mixup about what i'd written to her, Judy only got one ticket to the Academy event and I came home. I'm much happier being here.

we did not get as far as we hoped, but it's sounding good!

LOL DR ELMORE - do suggest that St Joseph be dug up (if they remember where he is) and flip him over.....that might facilitate the sale of the property.

Leaving in awhile for the rehearsal......thunderstorms or high winds are predicted....we shall see.

The Local Safety Man was asked in case of severe weather, where in the barn is the safest place to be....

His reply:  Out in your car.

i was looking to fly in to see the saturday matinee and then fly back that night on points, but unfortunately the flight schedules wouldn't get me there on time.

What a nice thought, however, I would have suggested going the day before.  The risk of a delayed flight on the same day is too great.

Good morning, all.

Stressful morning so far, but it looks as if I will be walking the stage, after all.

Now I have to find tickets.

Happy news!  Good luck finding the tickets!!!!

It is now Wednedsay -- the middle of week two of my exile to the 10th floor (Administrative floor) of my agency.  The work is unending, my boss' calendar remains a liquid thing, changing on a whim and always a subject of curiousity for all passersby.

How long did you say this will go on?

There's a new live concert recording of the complete West Side Story score, with the San Francisco Symphony conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas. I have no idea if it's any good. The CD is pricey and not out until June 10 (http://www.amazon.com/Bernstein-Story-San-Francisco-Symphony/dp/B00J9PSDN8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400673727&sr=8-1&keywords=west+side+story+michael+tilson+thomas), but if you don't mind a download, it is only $11.99 at iTunes, available now.

DR TCB - it features Cheyenne Jackson.      :)

I usually prefer physical CDs, but the price difference is too great, so I went ahead and bought the iTunes download (with the 8 minute video!).  I'll burn the CDs when I get home tonight. :)

This question is asked out of ignorance and a prior bad experience, so please forgive:

Is it possible for a Windows user to buy one thing from iTunes and just downlload the bast it without having to install something and having iTunes trying to take over your computer from that moment until the end of time?

DR ChasSmith - some DR can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you have download iTunes in order to buy any iTunes tracks. I assume the West Side Story mp3 tracks will also eventually be available at Amazon, so that would be a way to listen to the streaming tracks without the use of iTunes.

The mixing session was a lot of fun, with several unhappy glitches. I have to be in Riverdale again tomorrow by 9:30.

We were rather disappointed with THE MONUMENTS MEN.  We felt it had the potential to be an incredible film and fell very short.  There were a few times in the movie we looked at each other and shook our heads.

It is a great story and, IMHO, should have been told better.
