Perhaps we'll have better fortunes with PAGE 2.

Watching this TV show from the vaults, Gene Kelly: Dancing, a Man's Game.

And I love this clip showing Kelly tapping with Sugar Ray Robinson. (In the show itself, it's not intercut with everyone else in the show.)

Bunny Yeager, who helped create the pinup, has died. She was in the Bettie Page docu I watched last night.

The DH has been resisting Facebook for years and years. But he has finally succumbed, due to some work considerations.

This morning, he asked me:  I've been "poked" three times! What the h*$% does that mean?
I started to try to explain, but got the giggles and never was able to satisfactorily answer the question.      :)

Thank you for the insight on the two plays DR ELMORE.  I have only read THE NORMAL HEART, but have not seen it onstage....and as I said I only watched about an hour of the show last night.

Greetings, all!

Hoping everyone has a lovely day of remembrance today.

I'm stealing some time today to do something glamorous. Laundry. Okay, essential, not glamorous.  :D

I am looking forward to the first Kritzerland rehearsal today. After years of knowing. admiring and almost working with the wonderful Cynthia Ferrer, I finally get to duet with her this week.

NEVERWHERE looks interesting.  Unfortunately our small local video store doesn't have it.  My eBook library only has the audio.  I think I would prefer to watch it anyway as it looks like something Keith would enjoy.

And I am home from Trinity Church.  The rehearsal was with Meggie Cansler, Michael Marcotte, and Adam Alexander, another of our ROBERTA Collegians.  It went really well. Rob's in auditions for Steve Martin's musical Bright Star that opens at The Old Globe this autumn, so the rehearsal times this week are a mess.

Life isn't fair.  We sat outside, enjoyed the sun and the view along with a glass of wine.  Keith didn't feel his glass at all while I'm tipsy.  It was good and I want more but I won't have it.

Here is something I pondered as we lingered over our diner breakfast this morning:

HEINZ 57 -

57 varieties of ketchup?
57 varieties of tomatoes in their ketchup?

According to Wickipedia, the Heinz company had at one time (maybe still do) 57 different food products (ketchup, pickles, beans, etc.)

While riding a train in New York City in 1896, Henry Heinz saw a sign advertising 21 styles of shoes, which he thought was clever. Although Heinz was manufacturing more than 60 products at the time, Henry thought 57 was a lucky number. So, he began using the slogan "57 Varieties" in all his advertising. Today the company has more than 5,700 products around the globe, but still uses the magic number of "57."

Back.  (But I can still hear the merrymaking going on, on the other side of the woods separating our houses.)

This was an exceptionally nice early summer weekend, but I look forward to more normal days tomorrow and the next day, during which I shall get some work done around here and maybe even learn some damn music or something.

I've been at home all day just surfing the Interwebs and writing the names of movies on the DVD-Rs that I made of those movies.  I had more than a dozen DVD-Rs and now they're labeled.  I also watched the three episodes of the For-Your-Consideration DVD to an HBO show called "Silicon Valley.

Hmm...   I guess I didn't read down the Wickipedia page far enough.       :)
