DR CHAS SMITH our pit consists of piano, bass guitar, percussion, and flute.

Which always makes me think of one my favorite movie lines from GYPSY:

How big is your orchestra?

Three pieces: piano, stool, and cover.

I've a good mind, and the craving, to go out for a large Denny's breakfast.

Other than that, nothing in particular to accomplish today, except for all the crap that needs to be done around the house, plus getting ready to take a quick and efficient two-day, one-night drive over to Morgantown, WV for a quick visit that I didn't have time to make in conjunction with my Ohio visit a few weeks ago.  That will be Sunday and Monday.

Friday morning greetings!  More household work today before Rob and Mary Linda come for dinner tonight.  But first, a basement walk!

In my dvd player is the movie 12 Years A Slave.  Yesterday I watched Saving Mr. Banks, which I really liked.

My library also got: Wolf Of Wall Street, American Hustle and The Butler. So I will be watching these too in the next couple of weeks.

I take it then, DR Jrand63, that you are not re-using that costume (above) for your G/D production.          ;)

Busy weekend! Family wedding tomorrow. For the last one, I had to fly in from the East coast. This time, it's right here in my backyard!     :)

Topic of the day:
This will be my first time answering the topic-of-the-day question on a Friday because I usually don't have much of anything in my CD or DVD players. But right now I do. I was tired of hearing Sondheim compilations and box sets with Sondheim songs I don't like, and none of the ones I do. So, for Chanukah last year, Mark gave me CDs of every Sondheim show, I loaded them to my computer, and made my OWN Sondheim box set. It ended up being three CDs - about 50 songs. And Mark designed a lovely cover for them and came up with an extremely clever title: "A Multitude of Amy's...Sondheim Favorites". I've played them over and over for the past couple months.

Thanks much for that link, DR John G. - and also for the vibes.

The vibes are appreciated, but not really necessary.  I am on a drug long-term that can affect the liver, so they just need to check the liver function every month to make sure that nothing untoward is going on.

I couldn't take something like that. I'm susceptible to every side effect on a drug, so matter how minor.
