A lot of hullaballoo and hoo-ha over the way the Tonys handled the In memoriam slot.

Had another interesting conversation with one of the acting faculty who'd had an interesting conversation with one of the important parties regarding the letter - they admitted to him something that was interesting and which works strongly in my favor, so strongly that in fact I would be surprised if I didn't get the little that I've asked for - however, armed with all of our new information, the attorney is drafting a follow-up letter should they not reply to us in the time requested (that would be by next Monday, unless they're using business days, which means they'd have until Wednesday.

Shortly I shall be on my way with Miss Kay Cole to Genghis Cohen for what will hopefully be not only a yummilicious dinner, but an interesting one as well.

DR Elmo:  I have felt your sorrow at the loss of your friendship.  I recall a "recent" (this year?) meet-up you had with your goddaughter.  Is it safe to consider that relationship to be intact and unaffected by the rest of whatever has happened?

I hope so! I have made a conscientious effort to be positive whenever she mentions something about her parents. I hope that I never so anything to drag her into the middle.

Your relationship has been very special.  This would have been the greatest loss.

I have spent part of this afternoon watching clips of the Tony performances. There's a few shows I hope don't end up in my season ticket package.

I could have done without Jennifer Hudson and Sting, personally.  There would have been plenty of time for the In Memoriam segment.

Twenty years ago today, my mother went into a Dayton hospital and died there ten days later.  I remember sitting in the waiting room and watching the O.J. Simpson Bronco chase on the TV there. Every day I would drive to Dayton in the morning, see my mother, go down to the hospital cafeteria and work on the numbers I was writing for BK's Christmas on Broadway recording. Each evening, I would drive to a Fed Ex location and send the music back to Lanny.

Here is a new real estate tactic that is generating some buzz (positive and negative). Video "sales clips" intended to move high-end real estate. They're selling a "lifestyle," not a house. In this case, the attractive couple featured in the sales video are the actual sales agent and his wife. The property they're selling is a 2 million dollar condo in the heart of Minneapolis:

And HERE is the inevitable parody - quite funny:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpFB9pxicWo

I found the original ad funny, as in unbelievable they did that, but not the parody.

I'm still at work, but the parody video doesn't work for me at all.  The original does, but I'll have to wait until I get home to view the other one. :-\

Exactly!  Although there's no real correlation, Sting had a PBS special for his show a couple of months ago.  Anyone who watched that are probably a lot of the same people who watch the Tony Awards.  There's no need for that kind of duplication.

Just my 2¢. :)

Speaking of the Tony's.......When I wondered what I missed on Tony night why didn't anyone mention the thank you to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival here in Ashland?

There is a person on Facebook who's a friend of the composer's daughter, and, whenever he posts about the GOLDEN APPLE vocal score I edited, he always makes sure to mention that in the number "Doomed Doomed Doomed" I let a typo by my copyist, where the word "Now" is spelled "Bow," get past me. Well, I'm embarrassed that in my quest for publishing perfection I let one word in a zillion be incorrect, but I am getting more pissed that this oaf has been posting this over and over since 2012!

And twenty years ago today, Richard and Rob and I were in Phoenix visiting my mother.  We had been out shopping for comic books for Rob and got home as the Bronco chase was in progress.  I, of course, had no idea what you were going through back here in Ohio, DR Elmore, and was shocked to find your mother's obituary in the newspapers that accumulated while we were away.  I'm glad we were back in time to attend the funeral and give you a big hug.

Twenty years ago today we were vacationing ta our time share in Kissimee with my parents and the one year old Vixter.. One night  after  being tired from trekking around  Disney, my parents decided to stay in and watch the Vixter and allow Vixdad and I to go out for a nice dinner, just the two of us

we went to a small steak house  in Orlando to find  the staff kept disappearing into the bar room and other diners kept leaping up from their dinners to wander into the bar... since our meal hadn't yet arrived  we wandered over to the bar to find everyone watching the slow speed chase

I think my response to him made it clear that he wasn't amusing me.  What I honestly think is that he's using that typo as a validation for his own existence in the cosmos.
