And why would they have to escort the little girl off the plane?  So ridiculous.  i think that i would feel more comfortable being escorted off of the plane vs peeing on my seat.

Vixdad'sbestman's wife's family is of Syrian descent and they always have interesting things  to eat

they had  stuffed grape leaves and  some sort of raw highly seasoned lamb dish, and pickled vegetables lamb meatballs  in some kind of tomato based gravy and something that looks liek mini eggrolls but with a lamb (sense a theme here?) filling

I kept thinking  that JohnG and Jose would probably love this stuff

Because her mother made a fuss.  There have been some ridiculous reason for people being removed from flights.

I do believe most adults would get up from their seats unless they are wearing an adult diaper.  Being three both the child and the mother were intimidated into staying put.

I get a headache  sometimes first though i  get what appears to be a bright flash of  light as if a flash bulb went off in front of my eyes  then  a small, enlarging blind spot  in my central vision with bright, flashing or flickering lights and  wavy or zig-zag lines surrounding the blind spot then the blind spot  enlarges and moves across my  field of vision.

Since I started having these I am afraid I might get one while I am driving since they come on without warning

so far, Thank God, I have never had one while driving

I must admit watching this storm approach really scared me tonight.  There were tales of high wind and tennis ball sized hail, which I think they did have in Nebraska.  They had big hail not far from here.   I sort of panicked and put the cats in their carriers down the basement and sat with them. They were not pleased but if we're going to have hail that could break out windows, I'm going to have the cats under control.

As soon as I realized we're not getting the hail and wind, just REALLY heavy rain and lightning and thunder, I let them back upstairs.  We're supposed to get 3-4 inches of rain, we'll see.

Thanks.  I'll be fine.  I just get scared.  I've been in a tornado once and baseball sized hail once and I get a little freaked when we get warnings.  It passes.

I can't blame you -  I grew up here and hurricanes are an annual  concern  but  no matter how bad they get they do not have the destructive power of a tornado I can;t imagine living in the "middle" for that reason alone

Well, they don't hit where you are very often and you can hide from them.  Still, it's scary

tomorrow morning is the 13th annual 5K  run to honor Fire Captain  Downey  lost  9/11 - he was the grandfather of one of the Vixter's schoolmates .   Our post office and the street we live on were both renamed to honor him.

The money raised goes to various charities  but it closes  my street and the main surrounding streets from  about  8:30  to 11 which is really inconvenient when you want to go to church  or maybe go out to breakfast with your dad for father's day

I think it is a fine cause but I wish they would just go run around in the local state park

I It would also be nice if we didn't have to collect a trash bags full of water  bottles, drink cups, signs and other debris off  our front lawn after the crowds leave

Here they close off the same streets downtown for different runs.  The problem is it's always the street in front of my office and the cross streets so I can't just go there.   It was two weeks in a row and it really ticked me off

Easy to say they can escort you off, however, if you have an important commitment where you are headed it could be an issue.

One is permitted to use the facilities prior to the plane departing, always a safe thing to do if you can't go just before boarding.  I expect this little girl should have done that but I'm sure the mother never imagined what happened.  I'm just careful because I know they won't let you up if there is turbulence, not that I want to get up anyway and get more air sick.

There was turbulence on the tarmac?  That should be the title of something.
