We had another bout of lightning thunder, heavy rain and hail.  This time we got hail, but it wasn't the tennis ball size they were talking about earlier

Thanks, Cilla, and thanks for the help. I don't know how to make them bigger.

I'm glad of that.

Has anyone else seen the new commercial with "Chicken Fat" ?  here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acMnRg_mjOY

And, of course, that great song "Chicken Fat" was written in 1961 by Meredith Wilson and recorded by Robert Preston!

For the first time in a while, I get to sleep in today.  I'll need to do a little laundry and then I'm ushering tonight for the Masterworks Choral Ensemble and their show, Sing Sinatra: Music of Ol’ Blue Eyes.  But I also want to go to work (after the aforementioned laundry has been completed) and make up a few hours...THEN I'll go and usher for the Sinatra choral show.

Have a good day, all!

I didn't get any laundry done, but I did go to work and usher for "Sing Sinatra."  It was a good concert.  The audience really loved it.

Will there really be a 'Morning'?

by Emily Dickinson

Will there really be a "Morning"?
Is there such a thing as "Day"?
Could I see it from the mountains
If I were as tall as they?

Has it feet like Water lilies?
Has it feathers like a Bird?
Is it brought from famous countries
Of which I have never heard?

Oh some Scholar! Oh some Sailor!
Oh some Wise Man from the skies!
Please to tell a little Pilgrim
Where the place called "Morning" lies!

I'd read that every Emily Dickinson poem can be sung to the tune of "The Yellow Rose of Texas."

I don't know if it's true, but this poem certainly fits the cadence. :D
