Very interesting article on the Nazi past of soprano Elizabeth Schwarzkopf:

Saturday morning greetings!  Richard and I went out for breakfast and were at one of the local funeral homes by 9:30 for their first annual "shred day."  They had a big recycling truck in the parking lot and were accepting up to 5 boxes per car for shredding.  The timing was perfect for our recent purge of the catch-all room.  We visited the post office and the public library and were home by 10:30.

Rob and Mary Linda are here, painting their future bedroom.  One wall is Tiffany blue and the others will be blue-gray, with white ceiling and trim.

On a lighter note, here is one of my TOD favorites - the old ubiquitous Milford Plaza commercial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADZCRZlm4no

former DR William F Orr and I stood across the street and watch them film the final sequence of that commercial  --- could it have possibly been the day we went to see Nine?

Fun commercial.  I can see why you stopped to watch.

How is former DR William F Orr?

Now I know why you wanted them to move in, the room needed painting ;)

The beautiful park in town I occasionally mention was named the top 20th park in the country.  I have no idea why just about the worst view of the park was chosen for the photo.

I've vacuumed, and now I'm dealing with ROBERTA edits. I don't think it's horrifying; I think Judy's pissed that much of the work time was tied up by problems caused by her assistants and she just wants it finished.

Well, it may only be in the mid-to-high 70s here, but this is one of the most beautiful days ever.

I'm only sad that the days begin getting shorter tomorrow!  I've become more and more a summer person.  Well, spring and summer and fall.  They're all wonderful.  I'm definitely getting tired of winters!

Correction:  the remaining walls are more blue than gray, slightly lighter than the Tiffany wall.

I have a question about posting

When someone deletes a post does the software make it say

"Post Deleted"

or are you just posting "Post Deleted" and if you are why?

Maybe "Post deleted" is one of those HHW-trademarked catchphrases like "Underpants" and "Will we never get to page 3?"
