BK, she sounds like far too many of the customers I waited on at Bi-Mart. Good riddance to her!

Retail...never, ever again (knock on wood)!

The Indiana Supreme Court has struck down the State Ban on Gay Marriage calling it unconstitutional.....so marriage licenses can be issued to same sex couples who apply.

I think the people this will make most happy are the divorce lawyers.

She was a complete idiot.  I mean, e-mail sent at five my time, phone call made to the office at the same time.  Claim filed immediately before anyone could actually respond.  Response made at seven-thirty in the morning my time.  Attitude-laden e-mails follow and she's allowed to write those kinds of things and the person to whom she's writing cannot, in her mind, respond in kind.  This is the world in which we live.  Perhaps I'll just print her e-mail here to show you exactly what she's about.

It does not make any sense for her to file a claim before hearing your response. I agree that she is totally at fault. But I disagree with responding to her any way but nicely. She writes crap. You should IMO still always answer politely.

Another cinema favorite gone  :-\

..at least, he was a favorite of mine.

Jacques Bergerac passed away on June 15th in France.

The Indiana Supreme Court has struck down the State Ban on Gay Marriage calling it unconstitutional.

And also the 10th District court ruled today; a similar outcome in Utah.

I particularly liked this sentence from that decision:
Quote
"The protection and exercise of fundamental rights are not matters for opinion polls or the ballot box."

That photo was scary, DR Jrand63.  Once again, I am very glad that you, your loved ones, and your home are unharmed.

Precious is standing behind me.....

The saddest thing about Jacques Bergerac's passing is that no one could understand his last words.....at least I could never understand a word he said.

I gave her one reasonable e-mail response - once she went to a worse place, gloves off - we're different people and I will not allow anyone EVER to send me that kind of e-mail.

Yes, I knew Wendy VERY well.  There are things in Kritzer Time that are based on her - you wouldn't know which they were, though.

Hmmm, but now I am curious ;)

I wonder who else you wrote about that I knew.

Had some chicken corn chowder and bacon and eggs for lunch.  And am dealing with an ongoing and ridiculous UPS problem.  They lost a box of 100 CDs - fully insured.  Eight days for them to try to find the box.  Fail.  Then we expect a check.  Fail.  It goes to claims and they have an additional day.  They wanted some paperwork.  We gave it to them and expected them to cut a check.  Fail.  They asked for the invoice for that shipment.  We have now supplied it after many conversations.  We expect them to cut a check. Fail.  Then it goes somewhere else, to their adjuster.  They, too, can ask questions and only THEN do they cut the check after which it can take ten MORE days to reach us.

Today my hiking group decided to stay close to home, due to the rain, and walk the trails I used to walk with Echo & Sherlock.  I haven't been in awhile and had hoped we would go there.

We were done by 9:30 and headed out to breakfast when I decided to come home instead, grab a healthy breakfast, and go to the gym with Keith.

That's the best Elaine Stritch story I've ever heard!

:D

It was a good story.  I was just reading the importance of hitting a deer, if you can't stop, at an angle so that it doesn't go through your window.  Seems you instinctively did the right thing.
