I guess I got another couple of hours sleep, but getting this little sleep consistently is really beginning to mess with my innards.

Good morning!

I know I've been MIA here for a few days. I was in San Diego over the weekend on gigs, and learning Kritzerland music in the mix.

Happy July, and excellent vibes, xylophones, marimbas and glockenspiels to BK (and all who need). What, no Jew-ly jokes?   :D

I've completely fallen in love with the songs I am singing by Skip Kennon from Time and Again. Really beautiful stuff. I'm only sorry to hear that the show wasn't as successful as the music clearly is.

I had a follower of my website write me this morning asking if I had video of the production of CHESS I did in 1990 with Jodi Benson. I have much of the audio from that show on my site. He then sent me a link to a Tumblr site who had twice ran a live feed of a bootleg video of our entire show, which I did not know existed until this morning. Hmmmm. I wrote said Tumblr-head and asked about it without divulging my identity. I'm not offended by it. I'd honestly just kinda like to have a copy if I can get my hands on it. I hear it's good.   :)

Guess I better get to memorizing My Kritzer music...

DR Ron and DR Jennifer (or anyone else), are you watching this season of BIG BROTHER? If so, any thoughts on the contestants?

I am. But I don't know them well enough yet. Although what they showed Devin (is that the single father's name?) do on the last show was so ridiculously stupid.

Do you mean the way he railroaded his alliance into taking two of the women in as full-fledged members?  He totally overstepped himself there...had no business telling the women about the alliance and had no right to sit there and tell each member how it was a done deal without their mutual consent.  I'd form a new alliance without him.

Devin should have stuck with his Donny alliance, and kept a low profile. He is doomed by his dumbness.

He seems like a nice guy, but just a little too eager.

Back from some lunch - a ham and Swiss on rye and some tap tap tapioca pudding.  I'm so overtired that my whole body seems out of sorts, but I finished the liner notes and got them on their merry way for proofing, so that's good.

Well, I guess no one from here is ever going to be invited to my house for dinner.  At least, not when I serve my own lasagna, because I make mine with cottage cheese.  I have never claimed it to be Tom's Italian Lasagna, just Tom's Lasagna.  I have never had a complaint from anyone who has tried it.

I always appreciate perfect timing from the library.  Just as I was about to begin a new book last night one I have been waiting for came in from the library.  DR Jennifer I'm finally reading WILD JUSTICE.

Another book arrived this morning but it shall have to wait.  Next up is the book for my discussion group that must be read by Tuesday morning.

Today I have joined the hoi polloi. I have given up the cushy and convenient paid parking spot at my downtown apartment building. I will now park on the street, just like one of the masses.

Hopefully, finding a spot to park will not be a difficulty, at least on the days I have bags of groceries to haul from my car.

Also, I hope I can remember from day to day just where in the neighborhood I parked my car! I may need GPS just for that!

Here is a sad story. Popular television actress Suzanne Salman dies when a mortor shell explodes near her home in Damascus, Syria.

Yes. It was the most ridiculous thing. How could he have thought that was a good idea. I would dump him in a heartbeat.

He seems nice. But what a dumb player.  Why would he go to his new alliance and tell them to get rid of Donnie?  Even if he preferred his new alliance, the bearded guy was still going to be loyal. Why throw him under the bus?

Devin thinks he's a master on how the game should be played.  He's always shaking his head at what others say or do and his diary sessions are all full of ego.

I wanted to like him, initially, but he's too much of a "Howie" -- reacts before he thinks.

Yes, the score was remastered for CD from original acetates in the Friedhofer collection at BYU.  It's a lovely score.

I haven't seen hide nor hair of music from "Christmas in Connecticut" yet.  Maybe one day....

Tuesday evening greetings!  Richard and I were up early, intending to go to Home Depot first thing for paint and gear.  While we were eating breakfast, the flooring place called to ask if they could come to give a second opinion on the upstairs bathroom.  The guy who looked at it Saturday saw all kinds of problems, but the guy today said, "No problem, I'll be here at 7:30 tomorrow morning!"

After he left, we headed out and got Behr (brand) Polar White (shade) for the bedroom walls and a chicken to cook for our dinner.  Richard prepped the east wall and will paint tomorrow while the new bathroom floor is being installed upstairs.

Happy Canada Day!  Growing up on the border it wasn't unusual for us to go over the bridge for dinner.  No need for birth certificates or passports, just a declaration of citizenship.
