Well, you've read the notes, the notes drank to that, and now it is time for you to post until the drinking cows come home - they're currently having some MOO-tais.

centennial summer did have one virtue when it came to its song score.

All Through the Day which was sung by Larry Stevens and was nominated for an Academy Award.

If you don't recognize the name he later changed his name and sold his records on tv.

Good morning, all! I got some semblance of sleep last night, and I will shortly leave for my yearly physical exam. Following that, I will head to the market, purchase some things, and head home.

TOD:

I'm still working on seasons 1 and 2 of JUSTIFIED.  It's a good show.

Also, assuming it arrives from Netflix tomorrow, A NIGHT IN OLD MEXICO with Robert Duvall.

Good morning, all.

Enjoyed a pretty good sleep, following a long rehearsal last night that was held in a temporary location way the HELL out in the country.  I was dead tired afterward, and I took a Benadryl to wipe out some annoying sneezing and to induce even more solid sleeping.  It all worked, and was aided by a nice improvement in the weather.  We're hovering around 80-82 for a high, which is hardly what mid-July should be about, but it's clear and DRY for a change.

More coffee!

Friday morning greetings!  Tomorrow is Rob and Mary Linda's move-in day.  The upstairs is not as finished as we'd hoped, but the rooms are empty and the bathroom is operational.  We've had an initial conversation with the plumbing contractor about the wet bar and expect a phone call soon with details.

So, this morning I needed a nice leisurely waking up session, with coffee, in the recliner, and that's what I got.  Now it's time to face the world a little bit.

I need to use today to catch up on some cleaning and organizational matters around the house, work on some music, and hopefully watch something really good this evening.  Not going out or staying up too late, because tomorrow morning is one of the large library book sales I never like to miss (Westport), and while I shan't attempt to be at the head of the line with the dealers, I don't want to be too far back, either.

TOD:

I don't know.  I just don't know.  But I imagine tonight's viewing will be one of the Twilight Times.

I've been watching bootlegs of AVENUE Q performances and need to take a day or two off from that.

That wasn't much of a post.

And neither is this one.

But say what they want, they'll never be able to say these weren't posts at all.  No sir, they won't.

Wonderful and joyful notes today.....so nice to read about Miss Elaine Stritch from MR BK.

She played Lucy in 1947 at the Westport Playhouse with Bela Lugosi as DRACULA.

That same year, they also tried out a play there with Lugosi titled THREE INDELICATE LADIES which didn't get very good reviews.
