I am planning a trip to Spain and Portugal, not that I am actually going there-just dreaming.

The super was here: it's the oven, not me. I've unpacked and set up my new microwave, and I will be in bed soon.

Guess I'll try a jog - my first pass at sequencing The Spider was eighty-seven minutes - but as I went through I got rid of some repetitive cues and now we're down to a perfect seventy-seven.

Hi beautiful Allie.

What has been done to solve the problem of keeping her upstairs?

DR Jane, Rob installed a screen door that is working beautifully.  Allie was upstairs all day today while Mary Linda was at work and Rob was at their old apartment making the walls white again.  They got delayed finishing that project and called to ask us to feed Allie and we decided she'd been in prison long enough.  Mary Linda is home now and Rob will be soon.

I enjoyed the notes on the show last night.  Doris Day was one of the first to organize for animal rights.  I have great admiration for her.

We were in Carmel with Sherlock and asked to take him into an art gallery.  The owner looked at his size, hesitated, then said Doris would be very unhappy if he didn't permit dogs.  Our favorite hotel there is the one she is part owner of.

Loved both of them, but they are very different countries and peoples.

I'm glad the screen door worked :)

Letting her out of prison-does that mean she is roaming the house? :o

Munching on some gator sausage. Happy.

WHAT??!! I don't even want to speculate on what this consists of.

Type of boudin with rice and sausage and, yup, gator meat.

Allie roamed the house in a limited fashion - we closed the doors to our bedroom, bathroom, and my Momcave.  The basement door was not tight and she managed to find her way down there.  I was able to coax her out of that scary place and she's been with us in the family room ever since.  Rob and Mary Linda are both home now, but the cat is enjoying her freedom.

I'm OK so long as I don't touch her.

Best of luck with that. In five minutes the cat would be on my chest. I love cats, but I think they sense that I'm allergic to them.

We grew up with cats and have always had cats.  I can't imagine being allergic to them.

Yes, DR John G, I've had that kind of thing happen with other cats.  So far the only lap Allie has jumped into is Richard's.  I don't encourage her, even with petting.

And now, I'm off to the theater for the beginning of the final weekend of "The Tempest" at Olympia Little Theatre.

Have a good rest of the evening, all!

Do they have a cat tree for her or a window seat?

I don't think so.  That's one of the reasons she likes being downstairs - our picture windows have wide sills she can sit on.  She also likes the back of the extra chair here in the family room.  That's where she was when I took the photo.

The wide sills are perfect for a cat.  Is there furniture by a window upstairs?  If not I suggest getting her something so she can look out one of the windows up there.

Just wen I've got a bit of money in the bank, that damned property in Ohio needs a tax payment and out it all goes. I have to thank my two brothers for letting their greed and counting their chickens in advance for this mess.

Can't you get them to buy you out so you don't have to pay the taxes every year?  I guess valuation may be an issue, but then you'd be done with it

The Macbeths will not meet the price I want. It isn't that I'm being greedy, but i know what they're stupid enough to price it at, and I want an amount in the vicinity of a third of that.

I figured it was something like that

Agree with furniture by the window.  My cats look out the windows all the time.

Watching the extended version of Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof, which was his part of the Grindhouse double feature. The full-length movie was better when it was shorter, which is strange because the other movie of the double-feature, Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror, was better in its longer form.

Back from a rehearsal.

That's interesting to hear about the Grindhouse movies, DR John G.  I've had all the versions here since forever but have never taken the time to watch the extended ones, and now it's been so long since I've seen the original double feature that I'll need to start from square one with that to figure out what's what.  But it'll be fun.  It was a hoot seeing that at the theater -- as it was for everyone else there of a certain age.
