Thanks DR vixmom - still very very sore. I am worried that this might mean there's some other problem. But I see my regular dentist on Tuesday morning, so I am hoping all will be resolved in short order.

That's a nice piece of furniture DR SINGDAW.

Sounds like DR CILLA LIZ and Co had lots of fun last night.  Which Elvis movie was it?

Harum Scarum,, but we didn't stay for the movie. It was after 10:00 when we left.   There was an Elvis themed coaster contest and an Elvis quiz. My friends were at Graceland at the tenth anniversary of Elvis' death and interviewed people about it.  We watched part of that, but the sound wasn't good, so we left and spent time together at home talking and laughing

Back from Dan Callaway's farewell to LA concert - fortunately, he's only an hour out of New York and he can come play with us there.

Jon and Joe were on the winning team for the quiz so they got to choose from all sorts of Elvis memorabilia.  Jon gave me one of the official 10 year anniversary candles that they lit at the vigil and an Elvis pen.

Went to the baseball game tonight after unclogging the kitchen sink.   There are only three home games left.  I have a ticket for the last game with fireworks, but it's the night before I have my interview, so I'm not sure if I'll go or not.  I'm thinking I may go for part of the game and leave early.   I'm going to miss the games

Ginny, I'm glad you made it safe. Mom said that it has been raining all day today and it was raining hard yesterday. She also said the forecast for the rest of the week in Louisville included rain. So, plan ahead on your return trip.

Better get to sleep.  4:30 tomorrow is the deadline for applications for the judge position.  I'm very curious to see who else applied.

Glad you made it safely Ginny.   I think we're supposed to have storms tonight, but they haven't started yet, so maybe it won't happen.

From Ms. Streisand's upcoming CD-- a duet with Michael Buble:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t7bqGEw-C4

She sounds really good, and I'll certainly get the CD, but does she only do ballads anymore?  There doesn't seem (to me) to be any variety in her song style choices.  Just my 2¢.

I just met my departing physical therapist Morgan. She asked me if i'd like a ton of things from her pantry and refrigerator, and I gave her a package of CDs I'd wrked on over the past 20+ years. I will miss her enormously, and, while I very much like all the therapists who've treated me for the past year, I give her much of the credit for whatever shape I am now in. It broke my heart to say goodbye today.
Wonderful that you could actually say goodbye, even though it's hard, I'm sure she'll love the CDs and will think of you often.  Sorry she's leaving, but so glad you got to work with her

Ditto!!  And it's great that you got to say good bye.

Back from a pretty good rehearsal.

Me, too.  It was HOT in our little space.  No air conditioning...unless we want to buy an air conditioner and pay to have it all installed, which we really can't afford.  At least, not yet.  I'm sure that someday (hopefully sooner rather than later) we'll be able to get one.

Anyway, I just stood around and watched all the one-acts.  Michael, our light and sound designer was building more cues as the evening went on, which was fine.  It all went well, otherwise.

This was shared on the castrecl list - it's a review of the Demy set from the Boston Globe:
http://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/movies/2014/08/16/creating-jacques-demy-universe-box/OQfZQTPbmql6gqIYBr8IEP/story.html

I wonder if these are going to be available individually.  I bought "Lola," "Umbrellas" and "Rochefort" one at a time from www.amazon.fr.  I don't want to buy those three AGAIN just because I also want "Une Chambre en Ville." :-\

Fun dinner. I had a lemon souffle and all's right with the world.

I've never had lemon souffle.  Actually, I don't think I've ever had any souffle.  I've had chocolate mousse, but not souffle.

George, I'd guess the there will be a French release of Une Chambre from Arte Video, the company that did Umbrellas and Rochefort.

I hope so, but there isn't anything, yet.  I'll keep checking.  I mainly want it because the soundtrack was one of Kritzerland's first releases. :)

Not that I get every DVD for every CD that Kritzerland releases, but I'd like this one.
