He'll be doing my matinee show for the Kritzerland Anniversary, no doubt.  :D

Jane, I think HAPPY VALLEY is only available on Netflix streaming or region 2 DVD.

Then we can't get it but my brother is in LA and has Netflix.

Writing finished, except for a headline, which is driving me crazy.  It's keeping me from playing. Ugh.

Had a chili, cheese and onion omelet, began liner notes, and then have two more episodes of Happy Valley and am just starting episode five.  It's really good - I keep fretting that they'll take the cliche way of things in certain plot points, but they haven't - especially at the end of episode four - if this were an American show I know exactly what they would have done and I would have hurled my shoe at the TV - but thankfully they did the absolutely right thing.

DR Singdaw supposedly eating local honey helps with allergies to the local pollen.    Since I am mildly allergic to honey I can't eat enough to find out if that works.

When I was 20 I worked for an allergist and saw some major improvements in how people felt between their first visits and after a few months of treatment.  The doctor talked to me about my food allergies but never tested or treated me.

New Jersey & Pennsylvania were the worst places for my allergies.  By the time we left PA & moved to Michigan I suffered constantly and went to an allergist.  Since Bryan's allergies got worse about then, including developing asthma. he went with me.

After testing we both began getting shots.  The dosage is supposed to gradually increase until you reach maintenance, something I never reached due to mild reactions.  I don't think Bryan did either.  The doctor alternated arms for the shots and every time Bryan got little bumps where the shot went.

The doctor had one strict rule, we had to sit in the office for 20 minutes following the shot, something both Bryan & I scorned & complained about to each other every visit.  One day I got my shot, walked out to the the waiting room and sat down.  Immediately the palms of my hands began to itch.  Having food allergies I knew exactly what was happening and told the nurse who called the doctor.  They gave me a Benadrly.  As I sat down in the waiting room again I had trouble breathing and went right back.  This time I received a shot of adrenalin.  Once I was home I had to take another Benadryl which put me to sleep for 2 days-not fun.

When we moved to Connecticut we went to a new allergist who said each move requires new testing and suggested we keep track of our symptoms and how we felt before doing the testing.  A few weeks later Bryan and I both agreed we weren't bad enough anymore to need shots.  I believe they made a difference and were the reason we didn't need them anymore.

Eating local honey sounds like a title for something or other.   Like Finding Neverland or Saving Mr. Banks or Being Julia.

I took allergy shots for 3 1/2 years. I believe some of my medical problems, especially my high blood sugar, were caused by them. After all that time, my severe allergy to grass went from a 5++, on a scale of 1 to 5, down to a 5+. Nothing else changed. So, I stopped them.

I do take local raw honey and it has helped, but it takes several weeks before I noticed any change. I don't like the flavor of honey, so this is a bit of a chore.

I like the flavor but it makes my mouth itch.

I'm sorry the shots didn't make you feel better.
