Just finished two more individual interviews.   So, I've talked to 5 different commission members, 3 lawyers and 2 lay people.  (there are a total of 10) I was impressed with both of the lay people on the commission.  They are new to it and are taking it very seriously.  I actually think they asked better questions than the lawyers did and I know at least one of them contacted references.  I"m looking forward to tomorrow.

I'm glad the interviews continue to go well.

MORE VIBES FOR TOMORROW!!!

Rehearsal was really fun, and then Lanny and I had lunch with our contractor Joe Soldo.  This guy is amazing - in his mid-80s with more energy than five people half his age.  Plays tennis every morning at eight.  Great stories today, of Sinatra, Manilow, Streisand - all of whom Joe has worked for as contractor and/or player.

What fun to work with him and have him on your project!       :)

And here is a photo from last night's rehearsal.....Banjo enters chases Miss Preen around the couch and finally catches her....Sheridan Whiteside seems somewhat amused.  I am wearing my jacket and beret....in one pocket is a bicycle horn and in the other pocket is Hedy Lamarr's brassiere....

I am the fat one on the left.

Fun photo :)

One thing I've been meaning to ask DR Cillaliz, but keep forgetting, is:  I thought judges in Iowa were elected, not appointed. Not sure of how it works there, or how your process fits into things.

DR George I do like John Simm in the show.  I told Keith I would wait for your next report on "Intruders" before removing it.  If it improves I'll give it another try, if not it is gone.

Since I woke up this morning the haze from smoke has been visible.  It seems to be blowing away now.  My longs feels ok.  I think it looked worse than it was.

In Oregon, judges are appointed to fill vacancies. They would need to be re-elected at some point, in order to continue for another term, however.  Reason being that judges don't retire, die, or resign on any schedule, and it would be difficult to hold an election each time one leaves and it would also be difficult for the courts if you didn't replace the leaving judge as soon as possible.

I would guess Ohio is the same way.

They generally do. They're not blase' about their appointed duties.

Agreed.  It was kind of refreshing, but to tell you the truth I am really exhausted

Thanks for the vibes. I can really use them.  I'm afraid this month has caught up with me and I'm really tired.  I'm staying home tonight and resting even though it's the last baseball game of the season. I went out for an early dinner with Paul and plan to just relax

Another nice day in DC.   86 degrees but low humidity.  It's going to get much warmer over the next few days, but I'll be shuffling off to Buffalo, where I understand it will be much cooler (but rainy).

While a bit of fun and a distraction would be good, rest is probably more important right now.

Not too bad for the first week back to school.

That's why I went to the game last night.  There are fireworks tonight, but I can live without that

And now, I must be off.  Tonight we start the second weekend of "An Improbable Peck of Plays 3D."

Until later!

Bryan thinks bow ties are cool and wears them.  Who is the guy on the left in the photo?  He looks like Bryan.
