I finally met Robbie Rozelle, whom I know from here and who's a Facebook friend, at a top-notch show Robbie directed at 54 Below, an evening sung gloriously by Elena Shaddow, music directed beautifully and played by Georgia Stitt and a terrific combo.

Any of the people here who backed Herringbone on Kickstarter - has there been any notification from anyone about the new delay, that the album won't be coming out Sept. 8?

I haven't received a notice.

Volunteering was odd tonight. It was the first big night at the center. The main stage had Jason Mraz, the studio theater had an Iberian concert from the Chamber Orchestra of San Antonio, which is what I was ushering, and some overly loud outdoor concert at the River Walk space. All three were sold out.

You can't hear the music from one building to the next, but you could hear the music from the outdoor venue in the small theater whenever the orchestra wasn't playing and even at times when a piece was played at pianissimo.

They're really going to have to work on the programming of that space.

There's a bathroom on the right was the first thing that came to mind for me, obviously there are many others who think like I do...that's a scary thing
