DR Jane should recognize this one:

Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

while we were away  Joes Crab Shack has opened in the outlets   about 1/2 mile from the Vixter's  steakhouse    too early to see yet if it will havea big impact  but since one is primarily steak and ribs and the other seafood  perhaps not

Is that the name of the seafood place that Elmore said he discovered in The City?

I am not familiar with that photo, but the Columbia River Gorge is actually in Oregon and Washington.

Today will be the final performance of Theater Artists Olympia's third annual one-act festival, "An Improbable Peck of Plays 3D."  We'll have strike after the show, but it won't take long at all...we only have to clean up the theater because there's no set to speak of, just a few blocks. :)

Well, it's all over.  We had a great run (made a bit of a profit), and the people who saw it really enjoyed it.  The strike was practically nonexistent.  We just put a few things away and it was done.  People lingered and milled about for a while, then we all left and the theater was locked up.  Now, I just need to put together a report of what was spent and how much we took in, and it's officially done.

Thank you all for the health vibes you sent after my last post. They were much needed and much appreciated.

I guess it's time I filled you all in on what's been happening at my end. Five years ago, when I was in the midst of moving from the East Coast back to California, I began having episodes where my heart rate would go berserk. It would soar uncontrollably. By the time I could see medical personnel ("Sign in and take a seat") it would be back to normal, giving us no clues as to why this had happened. Thankfully, it was very sporadic. I saw a cardiologist and had the standard EKG and stress (treadmill) test. The cardiologist could find nothing wrong.

Last spring it got worse. We did a 48-hour Holter monitor, which indicated atrial fibrillation (Afib), an irregular heartbeat. But it was still so sporadic that only monitoring was called for. During the last few weeks I've been having new and frightening symptoms. We stepped up the testing and scheduled a consultation with a new cardiologist. Last Tuesday night I'd just gone to bed when my heart rate soared. I could get it to come down--I usually can--but it'd jump back up again. I couldn't control it. That resulted in a 911 call and my first ride in an ambulance. I spent the morning at St John's Hospital, hanging out with the ghosts of Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson. It came down on its own while I was there.

I am still recovering from Tuesday night's incident. Tachycardia (elevated heart rate) is exhausting. Your heart is running a marathon while the rest of you is just being a couch potato. But I'm on the mend and starting to feel like myself again.

More testing and consultations during the coming weeks. Hopefully, no more incidents like the last two. I'm sure you'll all understand if I'm here less than usual. I'll check in when I can.

~~~Heart Vibes for DR Jeanne!!~~~
It sounds like what happened to my sister...her heart just started racing.  Her problem was that any time she got the monitor from the doctor, nothing happened, so it wasn't able to help.
he: I just wouldn't want you to get  hurt
Back and exhausted but we had two amazing shows.  Both were great but quite different in certain ways.  Parts of my patter were smoother at the matinee and parts were even funnier at the evening.  The evening What Ifs were through the roof - the matinee was great, but man the reaction at the evening show was thunderous.  Everyone did great, only one lyric flub and a really funny one, and I accidentally went to the wrong patter but thankfully John Boswell got me back where I should be.  Couldn't have been happier and more in the notes.
