Sheesh - I go away for 2 weeks and they completely rearrange the Kroger store where I do most of our shopping! I knew they were making some changes, but this is MAJOR. Anyway, we got our shopping done after we went out to lunch and did a few other errands. Back here for a couple of hours before the AAUW potluck dinner and program meeting.

Happy Monday, all,

I'm just back and recovering from a singing job in Banff, Alberta, Canada, where after an early storm, there was snow on the ground and temps in the 40's and 50's. Here's a pic I posted to Facebook yesterday from my breakfast at the Rimrock Hotel.

Needless to say, coming home to 104 temps in L.A. was not my idea of a good time.

And happily, after a summer drought workwise, I'm up to my ears now. Working on a staged reading for this Sunday of "Where's Charley?" as Sir Francis, then I begin work on Ragtime next week.

I found out why I was not cast as Father in Ragtime - they hired a Mother who is really a bit too young for the role. She would have looked like my daughter. Interesting dynamic though. ha. So, Henry Ford it is. And a paycheck and union weeks. Better than a poke in the eye with a hot stick.
