There is this AARP medicare commercial with a couple driving in a car, and the lady advising her husband on getting medicare is so perky and fake smiley I want to kick her.

Oh Darling sweetiekins  you have to turn that little frown upside down now give me a pretty smile or I'll give you a ittyitty tickle on your teeny tiny tum tum.

I am pleased elmore & Chas are feeling ok today.

I said I slept well, but I do not remember saying I was feeling better!

I've contacted my doctor about an emergency appointment.

Darn I read that wrong.  I thought you weren't hurting as much as you expected to and that you were making it to PT.

VIBES!!!!

Thank you, dear! No, I'm still having the gastric problems and I have a tender spot under my left jaw that os painful to the touch.  I first thought it was an insect bite three days ago, but it doesn't seem to be that now.

My brother Randy just called me and it looks as though my brothers have finally decided to make a serious bid to sll that Ohio property. It's about time.  That is good news.

I am sorry you are not feeling well but quite pleased to hear about the change in your brothers'attitude towards the land sale

unless I got the time wrong, which is entirely possible.

I keep saying you need a full-time personal assistant.       :)

But then he would need to convert the fire escape into servant quarters, leaving me with no place to stay next time I am in NY

Once again, DR MBarnum, you are driving south on a one-way street going north.

Yesterday's Library Report:

SHADOW OF A DOUBT.  (I have seen several times and I really like it)
THE NATURAL (I have also seen several times. This was filmed in Buffalo which makes it extra special to me)
BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT ( I can't remember if I saw this or not)
THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES ( I also saw this and really enjoyed it)

LIBRARY BOOK:

THE CITY OF DARKNESS AND LIGHT BY RHYS BOWEN.  Have any DR"S read this? It is a MOLLY MURPHY NOVEL.

PURCHASED USED BOOKS:

THE QUEENS'S FOOL, BY PHILIPPA GREGORY
ELSKE, BY CYNTHIA VOIGT.

Have any DR'S READ THIS?
.

I am quite the fan of Phillipa Gregory. I enjoyed the Queen's Fool very much.  I have also been enjoying the stories of ex women involved in the War of the Roses

As if I wasn't a bad enough typist the IPAD just changes things whenever it feels like it.  There are no ex women in the books referenced all the woman remained women for the duration if the stories

So glad to hear that DD ZZach (I like some of Vixmom's misspellings--or was this one deliberate?) is doing better.

LOTS OF DOGGIE VIBES TO ZACH!!

It was a happy accident  ( I must confess)

As for THE COFFEE TRADER, I'm not a coffee drinker, either!

Didn't it make you wish you were?  I mean, it truly makes you brighter and cures all ills ;D

Good evening, Dear Readers. I have spent the last several days up in the woods, where I saw three deer, zero elk, and many squirrels.

We went up right after church on Sunday, so thank you to those who wished me a happy birthday. I didn't respond because I was out of town.

LOL, DR Jane! Ashland hasn't had reasonable real estate prices since the 90s.

LOL  They are now.

I think you'd have to define reasonable, with real estate it's all relative

Ashland is affected more by the California market vs northern Oregon.

Squirrels can be used in a number of tasty stews. In Kentucky, it's one of the traditional meats in burgoo, though lately lamb, chicken and beef are used more so these days.

I would only eat a squirrel if I was starving in the woods and there was nothing else to eat (had to say that instead of never, as there is one time I would eat one)

I quite agree. I'm not like most Kentuckians in that regard.

It was a very nice day. I loved the piece the organist played. I think she was happy to have had a request. I heard several people say they enjoyed the piece.

We left right after church for the woods. It was very nice up north. And very COOL.

Ok, I am thrilled  The person who the "good old boys" were pushing to become a judge didn't get it!   The man who got it will be a very good judge and he's a great person.  I feel vindicated.

Thanks Laura.  I think a lot of people here are.  I talked to another person who was a candidate today.  He agreed that it was the process that wasn't right. He was also happy with the outcome

Temperatures have gotten a little more bearable here, too, which is great because the Botanical Gardens here is screening High Society this Friday. It'll be cool enough to enjoy in the great outdoors. (I hope people won't mind when I sing along with Bing, Frank, Louis, Grace and Celeste.)

Well, my WordPress format won't work and I can't report it because I can't access yahoo email. And I want to start throwing things.

I think I should just go to bed.

Good night, all.

I want to say I'd be more pleased if it was me, but truth be told, I think I'd be happy for a few years and then would hate being told where to go and what to do and not being able to go to political functions.   I don't like any politicians right now, but it is kind of fun leading up to the caucuses to go see them all in person.  I couldn't do that.   SO, I think it came out the way it was supposed to.   I'm feeling good about it
