So, if you get a ticket confirmation from Delta, as I just did, or Air France, do not open it.

DR Bway the mouse didn't just walk up to me and climb up my arm, so relax a bit ;)

It was in a kitchen drawer munching on a wooden spoon at the same time I happened to reach in and pull the spoon out of the drawer.  I was only an extension of the spoon and I assure you it was equally as frightened as I was.

We had an invasion of mice and none of them came close enough to climbing up us intentionally even when we saw them walking around the house.  ;D

TOD:

I think the first subtitled film I saw was KNIFE IN THE WATER which aired on our local PBS station when I was in 7th grade.

THE REWARD did get some kind of release. I believe I saw it at one of the two drive-in theaters in my small home town in Western Pennsylvania. I saw it not because of the director but because of the female lead, Yvette Mimieux, whose films I devoutly watched ever since discovering her in THE TIME MACHINE. I also finally saw PICASSO SUMMER on late night TV in Los Angeles at some point. It was probably early 1980s when I first had a VCR machine to tape it because I never stayed up late at night to watch TV. Again it was because of Ms. Mimieux. Now I will have to search out THURSDAYS AND CYBELE.

My first subtitled film was "The Garden of the Finzi-Continis". (Or, was it?  Maybe it was dubbed).

Seems like "Day for Night" was subttitled, though, so maybe that was my first.

Congrats, Jack!!  I've never won that much before...of course, I don't buy lottery tickets, so there you have it. ;)

TOD

I can't remember which film it was but I did see La Cage Aux Folles on home video. It gave you the option to watch it with English subtitles or in the English dub version. (Victor Garber was Albin and Dick Latessa was Renaldo)

For the fun of it I watched it in the English dubbed and English subtitles and they were two different translations of the dialogue!

When I saw "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," you could tell that what they were saying in the dubbed version was very specifically translated so that they looked like they were actually speaking English.  I really thought that they had filmed it twice...one in the native Chinese and once in English.  It was so well done.  The subtitles, of course, didn't have to match the lip movements so they could be a much more literal translation.

And now I must start my day I won't be back for some time as I will be at the theatre tonight.    We'll movie theatre watching the Tim rice from here to eternity.  I have heard. Nothing of the score nor read any reviews so it shall all be a surprise. The Vixter will be joining me

I'm going tonight, too...here in Olympia, of course.  Right now, I'm listening to the 2-CD set, which is only 66-minutes long!  I ripped MP3s to my computer and put them in one folder as if it were one disc...which it essentially is.

In an interesting twist of fate, he made it through the whole program and ended up getting bonded with a blind organist and poet.

That's sweet!  And great pictures of the dog!

Or they were matched intentionally knowing there was music in your home.

Back from a quick lunch of a cup of chicken soup and chicken tenders.  I'm still popping Airborne and sucking down Coldeez, just for protection.
