My new favorite on "And the World Goes Round" is the "We Can Make It/ Maybe This Time/ Isn't This Better" medley.

Good morning, all!  This morning I will have a 10:00 visit from my HMO's visiting nurse, which seems silly, since Isaw my dctor aweek ago. They began this last year and  lovely lady showed up, took my blood pressure and temperature, asked a few questions and left. I think it's a waste of everyone's time and I'd rather have her show up and give me my flu shot.

Won't they let you cancel it?

DR JRand, how nice you look all gussied up in a tuxedo! Great wedding pics!

Ditto!  I'm glad the wedding was wonderful.

I see like 10 visiting cars outside. Would it be rude to try to follow where they are. I'll bet they are having a yummy turkey dinner!

I'm confused.  I thought officially your holiday is tomorrow yet all over FB people are saying Happy Thanksgiving and now you think neighbors are celebrating.

I just had a loverly phone call from Rob Berman. He says that Bright Star is going very well at the Old Globe, and he's got a lovely beach house in San Diego.

I want to visit.

That would be nice!

I was about to say the same thing.

Great wedding photos, DR Jrand64, and thanks for the Hollywood Blvd. picture.

The New-View was a Pussycat by the time I moved there in June 1972 -- if not right then, then shortly thereafter -- and it eventually became the seemingly permanent venue for the DEEP THROAT / DEVIL IN MISS JONES double feature.

Today's matinee went fine, but it was visited upon by the deadest of dead audiences.  A real classic.  I sometimes wonder how audiences like that can stand themselves.  They were classic cheapskates as well.  The concessions person told us they sold, like, four items during intermission.  :)

Well, I must be going.  I have to help my sister move an IKEA kitchen island from her rental house (she owns it) to the house where she lives.  The renters don't want it anymore.  After that, I'm going to audition for Theater Artists Olympia's "The Head That Wouldn't Die."

Thanks to all for the comments on the photos.....

PARADE was most wonderful this afternoon.  I had only heard the CD, I had never seen the show.  It was great....the leads were outstanding and music and voices were wonderful.

I don't think I ever need to see the show again.....I will always have this one.

Watching Doc Martin-- I don't think I've seen the first episodes.  I just watch whatever episode happens to be on.  Lots of interesting characters!

I ordered a lot of stuff from there, too, DR KEVIN.....didn't realize it was a hole in the wall.  They're still in business, but I don't know if it's at the same location.

LOL...well MR BK - maybe Christopher will write about it in his book and it will remind you....

That reminds me, DR George:  last night there was a show on IKEA on MSNBC.  It showed how they made various pieces of furniture--very interesting!

For having lived right there, I am amazingly vague on the Larry Edmunds location.  Didn't they move a couple of doors down at some point?  Did they expand?  Perhaps BK can help us on this.

Um, this would be me. I don't leave my seat during intermission. Also, I never buy the memorabilia.

Is the individual who was "the problem" with AND THE WORLD GOES ROUND going to be at the launch party?

Just food and drink at this place, DR Laura.  Probably just sold a couple of candy bars and sodas.  Maybe a coffee.  They certainly didn't seem to have been imbibing the beer or wine.

I am with you, BK, about the bits of fat.  No matter how many lectures I receive about the quality of bits of fat, they make me want to vomit on the ground.  And I hate to vomit on the ground!

Oh -- I'd meant to ask if that person can be identified now.  Maybe just in private?

Thanks DR FJL and DR ELMORE....yes I did....it's not very good, but I will post it.  After Adam & Andrea cut their slices, it was rolled back to the prep area and then slices were put out on a big table.  Each layer was a different flavor, orange, strawberry, carmel, and a couple of others....of course it was delicious...as was the dinner...and the open bar!

I thought you wrote camel, which sounded really nasty.

Mr BK here is the Neu-View Theater and the House of Magic in the summer of 1969, you may have mentioned both in your notes and books.....and Larry Edmunds Bookshop in between!   :D

This picture is from Chris Riordan who was in the movie "The Gay Deceivers" which was playing at the Neu......for three months.....with lines around the block.

It's actually the New View - that's a W.  I didn't go there often - it was a flea pit - but in Kritzerland I do believe I specifically mention seeing one of my many viewings of North By Northwest there on a very rainy day.  It's one of my favorite passages in the book.  Chris Riordan recently came to a Kritzerland show - he said I'd remember him immediately.  I didn't.  My cousin finally reminded me that he dated briefly (very briefly) my ex-wife after our deevorce.

The man thought you would remember him just because he dated your ex-wife?  That is rather arrogant.
