I'm at work with my sister's car.  I'll call her boyfriend a little later and then we'll drive my car to the car fixer.

From DR Laura:
Quote
TOD: I was in a movie theater with the children watching a DISNEY MOVIE, and some creep in the seat next to me kept putting his hand on my knee and running his fingers up my leg.

A DISNEY MOVIE!

That's the last time I was in a movie theater. Ick.

Yuck, yuck, yuck!  I hope you reported him.

We were supposed to have another big rain storm arriving from Oregon at around midnight.  It must have gotten stopped for a speeding ticket, because it is late.  Either that, or Jane wouldn't allow it to come north until she had squeezed every drop out of the storm.

;D

I fortunately slept through the rain last night.  It was just drizzly this morning and was nice for a walk in the park with my hiking group.

Mt. Ashland even has snow :)

TOD:

BK, have you ever done a Warren-Dubin show? I've been listening to a CD that goes beyond the wonderful stuff in the Busby Berkeley movies and am just marveling over how good their songs were.

I blame Jane.

That's usually a safe bet.         ;D

We used to blame Jose.  I guess the blame has to be someone else who's name begins with a J.

Speaking of leaving.....MBarnum was posting less & less often so I doubt the blame can be placed entirely on the Columbus Day discussion.

I thought DR ChasSmith's post on keyboard programming was most interesting and informative.

I'm amazed at all of these states with no car inspections!  A bit jealous, too, if you must know.  (And you must.)

For any "Real Housewives" viewers, Joe Giudice blew up on his way in to sentencing and shoved a videocamera into a cameraman's face. Quite a thug today.  I guess he doesn't like being filmed off Bravo's payroll.

I picked up the mail on my way home today and then Keith also picked up the mail when he came home.  We apparently forgot to get the mail yesterday.

In the mail was a notice of new regulations for when I renew my driver's license.  I will need to take my passport, along with license, to prove legal US residence.  Odd is that anyone over 50 has to take a vision exam.  WHAT!  Shouldn't everyone have to pass that regardless of age?  I remember I was in my early twenties when the eye doctor looked at Keith and said "Don't let her drive until she gets her new glasses".

There was no mention of a test.  I wonder if they dropped that.  I hope so, otherwise I will have to study for it.

There are other options.  My passport is the easiest for me.

I found I don't need a test anymore as long as I don't let my license expire :)  I'm pretty sure I would pass the eye exam.

Finished with all but three songs for the commentary.  Taking a break and will do those later.

The only movie that I know has a "director's cut" that is actually SHORTER is Darling Lili. Original running time was 143min. Director's cut is 107min

Did we already order Sandy's new album, or is that upcoming?

I am almost quite certain that we have not yet had the opportunity to order this.

Well, speaking of cars...yesterday, I left work and drove downtown to the call-backs for "The Head That Wouldn't Die."  As I got off the freeway and stopped at the first stoplight, I noticed smoke coming out from under the hood of my car!! ??? It smelled like something was burning! :o As I started driving again, the smoke dissipated, but the next time I stopped again, there was the smoke and the smell.  Fortunately, I was able to get to the theater without my car exploding (I was imagining the worst case scenario all the way).  Actually, the day before, I checked my oil and it was low.  I got some oil, but I didn't get a chance to add it.  After the audition, I was able to add the oil.  I called my sister who only lives a couple of miles from where I was, and was able to drive my car to her house.  She let me borrow her car and today, I'll drive back over and try to drive my car home.  My sister's boyfriend will drive behind me in case it starts to smoke again, but I won't drive the freeway.  I'll take the main streets through town.  I don't know if the oil was the cause of the burning smell and smoke, or if it was something else like a belt.  Whatever it turns out to be, hopefully it won't be too expensive.

You shouldn't leave your belt under the hood.
