DR GINNY did you get stainless steel appliances or black or some other hue?

Good news about RICHARD and His Surgery.

DR JRand, we got white to match the stove and to fit into the blue, white, and brushed chrome color scheme in the kitchen.  Stainless steel would have fit, too, but I think it's impossible to keep looking clean - water spots, etc.  I don't even want a stainless steel sink.

Thanks from Richard.

AH!  Well I thought that, too....but actually the stainless steel Frigidaire stove and fridge we got don't show fingerprints or spots at all.

I got some Stainless Steel Wipes at Dollar Tree and we use them once a week and we're fine.

I decided to walk to the bank and do some banking, which is what I like to do at the bank, then, even though I'm having an early dinner meeting at five, I walked over to Jerry's Deli and had a cup of chicken soup as a preventative.  And since I have no intention of having any bread and butter for dinner, I had a bagel with the soup.  So, tonight I'll just order my pasta dish and no salad and it will be exactly the same amount of food I'd have eaten if I hadn't had the soup and the soup has less calories than the Caesar, too.

Friday afternoon greetings!  Richard came through his carpal tunnel surgery just fine.  He's had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some chocolate frozen yogurt, and tea.  I suspect he might crash soon.

Excellent!!!  I've been told it is a quick recovery on these.

Just before we left for the surgery center this morning, I discovered a casualty from yesterday.  When I was transferring the frozen food from the old fridge to our stand-alone freezer, I used my rolling Ikea cart.  Apparently, I overlooked the bottom shelf, where I'd put a partial bag of boneless chicken breasts.  They'd thawed, of course, so I've thrown them out.  If I'd discovered them last night, I could have cooked them and made chicken salad or something, but I thought 19 hours was too long...

Better safe than sorry.

The colors sound pretty together.  I agree with you regarding stainless steel.

This surprises me, must help that you have special wipes for it.

Off to hear Beethoven's Third Symphony (the "Eroica"), along with a Mozart piano concerto. The soloist is Jeremy Denk, a good friend of former DR JoseSPiano.

Keith is downloading his new computer game which limits what I can do.  The more I try to open the slower his download.

Right now, I'm listening to the new live cast recording of "Miss Saigon."  I love the live aspect of it.  And the singers are all pretty good.  Although the Chris' vibrato is a little too pronounced.  He sounds older than the character should...in my opinion.  But it doesn't ruin the whole recording at all. :)

Cozi TV (another one of those new channels, I guess) is showing a 1968 film called Funny Girl.  It looks kind of familiar.

Ever since hearing Brent B singing "She Wasn't You" on his Alan Jay Lerner album I've wanted to hear him sing it live, but never have.  So I just read a review of this week's Cabaret Convention in NYC and read that he sang it Wednesday night.  Oh, well.  Maybe he'll do a Lerner concert someday.

Well, it's time for me to leave work.  First, I have to go to the theater, but I can't stay.  I won't be running the sound board for "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [revised]" tonight.

I'll just have time to drop off the money till because I have a union meeting at 7:00.  As soon as the meeting is over, I'll go to the theater to pick up the till.

It'll be a long night though, because after tonight's show, we're having a cast party, and I'll definitely be able to go to that. :)
